More reps = definition?

Can somebody explain whether or not this statement is true? Does doing less weight and more reps really work during a "cut" phase and give more definition then doing power workouts with fewer reps and more weights? I have noticed more of a "burn" in the muscles when doing less weight/more reps.

Any comments?

less bodyfat= more defenition

The only thing that cuts you up is burning more calories than you eat.

More reps means you are burning more calories but not building muscle. Stick to the 6-10 range or whatever you are using now.

Yeah that's what I figured. I started p/rr/s so my reps are changing from week to week. But generally I never do ridiculous amounts like 20. Unless it's for my abs of course...
