Wondering if anyone has ever done Muscle Media's Bench Press Routine? If so, what did you use for a rest period between sets? I'm gonna try this as soon as I can figure that out...
Thnaks for the help.
Q

Are you talking about the bench press article written by Shawn Phillips or am I just totally off course?

Not sure who came up with it, but if you follow the link above you can check it out.

Bro, you are a God-send. I was just talking to a powerlifting buddy of mine a few days ago telling him about this program and how upset I was that I had it written done somewhere and could not find it. The reason I was upset is because for the three times I used it...all three times worked. I remember the first time was in 2003-2004 and man for how simple the program is, it works.

Sorry bro I got so excited about finding the program I forgot to answer your question. I would rest 1-2 mins between the small lifts and 2-3 mins in between the big ones. On max days I would go a little farther, maybe 3-5 min.

Excellent! Awesome to hear someone has used the program and even better to find it works. I've been trying to push my bench over 300 with a goal of 315 by October. Stuck at 290 right now. Thanks a lot for the help.

when you are training with loads at or above 85% of the 1RM you want to allow for a good 3-5 minutes between sets, this allows for maximum ATP replenishment in the muscles being exercised. MM2K IMO is a solid bench program IMO, I used it for many years. i'm pretty sure that's what I was using when I broke 500.
