ut of the starting 11, 4 ran 4.4-4.3, 4 ran 4.6 or better and the some other overachievers ran sub 4.8s.

you guys must have won some state championships with all that strength and speed?

What are kids names if you don't mind me asking. Certainly with a 4.3, 40, they would be at the olympic training center attempting to qualify for the next summer games.

Guy at my meet weighed 269 and pushed 440 naturally and raw.

A teenager weighing 163 benched 380 for a world record.

And another guy weighing 177 benched 370.

All raw and all natural.

Best raw bench I ever did was 425, I do believe I could have had 5 or so more one particular week - supernatural  Makes me miss strength training.

sounds like a fucking moron.

ditto. I have no sympathy for the stupid

bob sapp is all natural, and he warms up with 300 lbs on the bench press. i read somewhere he could bench 300 KG for a 1rm, but i seriously doubt that with his height. needless to say... hes a beast.

at 142 pounds, I went from never having lifted before (90 pound bench press max) to a 215 pound bench press only 4-5 months later. I had never had a steroid, creatine, protein powder, anything. To call me obscenely strong would be the overstatement of the century. Considering I made this big of a gain in only 4-5 months, I have no doubt that someone my weight can bench press over 300 pounds naturally after years of training.

And someone twice my weight? I can only imagine....

And you see, I would never do that. Tiny Meeker benches 800+ and he warms up, starting with the bar.

Most people who dont train, aren't 284 unless they are fat.

My point is that I have known several people in the military who could and did do hundreds of push ups a day.......and not one was hurt by it

At any point in my life when I could accomplish 100+ pushups
there would be no way in hell I would injure myself
because my conditioning would prevent that -

It's obvious this Kid had forgotton about how he fell
down and hurt his arm in an alcoholic blackout
during the evening following that workout

315x10 on a flat bench while natural is not something I've seen in my life, to my knowlege. I haven't seen but one guy in my current gym even touch 315, besides myself. A friend of mine can do 295x5 at about 185 pounds, which to me is respectable.

There are lots of guys a lot bigger than I, and I have done this (pre surgery). Just hit 275 for 15 reps, which is the most I have done since my surgery. But I digress....

It is not the 100 reps that caused the muscle tear, it is something else. Whether that be a pre-existing injury, shitty form, etc., I do not know.

Of course, doing that many reps will cause muscular fatigue and compromise ones muscle. On the other hand, to cause a tear with that light of a weight is pretty tough to do.

Proof of what? Proof that the guys in my gym are 140 pound whimps with girlfriends that outweigh them by 40 pounds?

WTF??

The hell?

You said foremanrules benched so much weight
Then I asked for proof and you spray this wierd shit at me?

Not necessarily.

A guy at my school who graduated last year,
Ran a 4.3 something and he has no interest in pursuing that.

I'm sorry, it must be the beans. I didn't understand what you were asking proof for, I still dont - are you asking me or him? Anywho...

I never forgot you or your numbers, but you are rare IMO. Plus your physical background (childhood) would nearly imply such feats, me on the other hand, I was a skinny kid.

I've heard of muscle tears on warmups, I dont think the body is made for extended abuse. I've had a twinge in my left pec occasionally that I believe I got from some high rep benching, and no I dont believe my form was shitty and I was nowhere near 100 reps.

How do you expect someone else to prove what I lifted?
By the way that was at my best naturally.....I did 315 for 9 reps....missed the 10th....but close enough to lie about , and that was back in 1999.

Mudge, who is that in your avatar?

And are you saying I am not normal??? ;)

I'm sorry I griped at you, but your post really annoyed me.
I quoted you even, so It didn't make sense that you would come up with such a strange response.

Foreman, you could at least provide some pictures? I know it won't make much difference, but I would still like to see them (in a non-homosexual way...:D )

Who knows what his form was like, or genetics, or etc. I dont think I could train like Ronnie and avoid getting myself into a home for the elderly, then again he is probably on a boatload of GH.

How about Arnie he trained longer then Ronnie and took most sets to failure with no GH...probably on a dose of steroids not uncommon for some local guy in the gym.
