The
published literature (see table 2) shows the nadir (lowest) value from a weekly shot of 600mg test cyp to be 2370 ng/dl, from a baseline of 632ng/dl, after 16 weeks.
But that's the nadir. The average is more interesting - and more stable if pinned twice a week.
According to my calculations (which are interpolated, and calibrated against the published research to a halflife of between 5 and 6 days for cypionate),
once-weekly pinning of 500mg per week should produce the following blood levels:
High: 4161 ng/dL (144 nmol/L)
Average: 2955 ng/dL (103 nmol/L)
Nadir: 1978 ng/dL (69 nmol/L)
Compare with pinning
twice weekly:
High: 3515 ng/dL (122 nmol/L)
Average: 2957 ng/dL (103 nmol/L)
Nadir: 2423 ng/dL (84 nmol/L)
Note - the average is the same, but the level is far more stable. More stable = better gains with fewer sides.
500mg of cyp should, in theory, thus translate to around 3000 ng/dL, or roughly 100 nmol/L ON AVERAGE. (28.8 x nmol/L converts to ng/dL)
The lab range listed on the LifeLabs website suggests normal male total testosterone is 10-30 nmol/L (this translates to 288-864 ng/dL, which is low by comparison to the ranges listed by HRT clinics but is nonetheless normal physiologic levels)

So your 500mg weekly gives you roughly the testosterone of three high-normal men. Ish.
Does this help?
