hey, thanks guys for the help on my last question.

now im just wondering what are some good exercises for your neck, that i could do at home with free weights

i did a search on the forum but couldnt find anything.

You can buy a leather headstrap, I happen to dislike them. Or you can use your own hand as resistance, just about as lame.

Unfortunately 4 way neck machines are around $600 or so.

I wouldnt worry about working your kneck. That kinda comes with getting bigger. I would recommend doing shoulder shrugs at various angles, well front and side. Also do them with both DB's and a BB.

You can extend and flex the neck by placing a towel on your forehead, anchoring your feet, and placing a weight on it while stablizing with your hand. It's hard, but it is better than nothing.

I've never done any direct neck work at all, and I don't really see much need to. Training my back and traps seems to make my neck thicker as well. To me anyway, it would feel weird to directly train my neck.

for the front part of your neck you can lie down on a regular flat bench with your head /neck hanging off put a towel on your forhead and a plate on the towel....bring your head forward and backward...works well... i also have a neck harnesss(as stated above) to do the back, but shrugs work the rear neck as well...

I'm not one of those guys that thickens up without direct work, and I've seen others with skinny necks (even Levronne as a very public example). I always do direct work, swear by it.
