Hello everyone i've been working out for a while and i've realized that my obliques seem to be lagging behind other muscle groups. So in your opinions what are the best and most effective oblique excercises?
thanks for the help.

Saxon side bends
Full contact twists (which also dramatically increase punching power and speed)

Never do twist crunches and follow the crowd. They are an unhealthy movement.

thanks for the help, yea couldn't do the crunches anyway injured the rhomboid and the movement pulled the muscle causing a lot of pain.

Exactly. And besides I love full contact twiests. Not only are they one of the best oblique workkouts but the russians use them to imediately increase their punching power and strength because it comes from the core. Do it with a weight that u are comfortable with 7-8 reps.

I gave them a try today and they worked well thank you.

loose body fat and get leaner if that is what you mean by "needing help with obliques", as in needing help to see them better.

stop doing regular crunches and allowing recuts abdominus dominance.

chop patterns, 2-part chops and lifts, and lift patterns are great. side planks are good too. any sort of plank with the arms on a stability ball or the feet on a stability ball and the arms on the floor, causing your to contract those muscles to stabilize the pelvis would work also.

actually im 15, 5'5 , approx. 115lbs.i think im as lean as it gets ive always been very muscular and had awesome abs but my obliques just seem to lag.i dont know what my BF% is exactly but i know its very low. it just seems that i have a blank space or my sides cave in right under the ends of my rib cage from undeveloped obliques they are just small. or that atleast seems to be what the problem is.
