Hey Everyone, im hoping you can help me with figuring a few things out. Im 19yrs old 6'2'' and 195lbs, just finished my first year of college football, consequently the only things i have taken are creatine and protien shakes. Im not playing football next year so im looking for something more aggressive to help me bulk up. Im open to hgh and steriods, i just have no idea what to look for in these kinds of products. Any and all suggestions will be extremely helpful.

Thanks, Phil

You should wait til you're 24. Spend money on a good trainer, that will get you farther and for far longer than steroids would. Not as fast but its not going to stunt your growth and/or possibly harm sexual function. Your call but I'd stay away from them and get a good trainer.

And HGH would do you no good whatsoever.

I wouldn't say consequently..that's good stuff.. I would suggest going into the beginer newbie forum and look around ..you will find a lot of posts pertaining to exactly what you want answers to..don't be afraid to use the search button up top..there are a lot of great people with good advice on here and after reading some posts you'll get to know which one know their stuff.. after doing some reserch on here I'm sure you will have a clear path on where to take your training next..good luck buddy

one thing to take into account...I'm 30 now..when I was 20 I jumped right into the steroid game with little knowlage of training right or eating right..I did everything as backwards..at hat time all the vets in the game told me to slow down ..get diet and training in check..reserch reserch reserch...as a young kid all I thought was that they were all just talking down on me and they just ddnt want me to get in on their goodness...at the age of 30 now I can tell u that at that time it was to early for m to be doing that..I have had many injuries to my body as a result of using steroids before I was physically ready for them.. I have no doubt that you will do what you want to do that's just reality..in fact I'm pretty sure u right now know what you will be doing so the best advice I got is to read up. Peace

Phil, I have your IP address and will be reporting you to the authorities :coffee:

IMO most trainers are a total waste of money. You can find everything you need to know on the net, totally free except for an investment of time. Save your money for food and whey/casein. I agree you shouldn't be using steroids yet, give it until 21 at the very least. You've still got some growing to do and gear will keep you from reaching your full height (and shoulder width I imagine, which is very important to a good male physique). If you absolutely will not listen to this then make sure if you do cycle you keep your estrogen low, perhaps someone else could chime in here but I believe excess estrogen is what causes your bones to stop growing.

A good trainer is worth his weight in gold. Anyone Big & Jacked didnt get that way purely on gears.

Thanks guys. I'll most definately research the shit out of this. And why is this guy reporting me to the "authorities"? Im not scared just wondering whats illegal about askin a question.

I suppose, seems like anything a trainer could tell you could also be found on the net though.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones

It's just not the same. Sports cant be learnt off videos. Have a think about that.

I played some football myself & let me be the first to tell you that no amount of gear or HGH will make you a good football player, sorry bro. If you need gear to get ahead of the game on a college level, the sport is probably not for you. Keep yourself focused and just work on drills etc. , perhabs even pay for some 1 on 1 coaching.

I can see form being difficult to learn, but nutrition and routine definitely can. Obviously most sports will be different, I wouldn't try to learn football from watching videos for example. Bodybuilding is a bit different though IMHO.

Hes just kidding.
I am fairly young myself.
Just make sure you do your reasearch.

I am not talking yeah i know how to do a 12 week cycle of test and take aromasin for AI and clomid for PCT.
Understand why you do all of this.

Most important thing is to understand your body,
Make sure Diet is Good.
Trainning is Good aswell.

3 Years myself i made some great progress.
Nailed down Diet,Trainning and cycle.
Raped that progress in 6 month....

There are many negative consequences to using steroids at your age. You need to wait a few years before jumping into the game. At 19, your body is full of anabolic hormones and bulking up is rather easy if your diet and training are dialed in. My advice would be to post your diet and training in the appropriate forums and let us help you there first. No need to start replacing your body's natural hormones with synthetic ones at the age of 19. You are only asking for trouble down the road.

Completely not true. You can learn a lot of things off of the internet but correct form is very hard to learn when you're not recording yourself. How many people are going to actually record themselves? Find a good certified trainer and they will teach you correct form and feeling for the weights involved. No amount of online research can replace that. That's like saying you can read all about MMA on the internet, never practice and show up at a tournament and wipe the floor with everyone.

Bodybuilding is no different than any other sport. Skill is involved and has to be learned through experience. No amount of research will change that.

Besides a good trainer will set you straight for life. Steroids won't help with lack of skill or form and they are after all, temporary.

For someone at the age of 19 a trainer would be a much better investment than steroids. The most important thing to have in check before steroids is diet, nutrition, and training. Like others have said You CAN NOT LEARN PROPER TECHNIQUE by watching videos online. There are tips that trainers can give that make all the difference. MMA was a great example. Anyone can watch the pros do an armbar or watch a how to video but there are little things that make it work properly that you only learn from an experienced trainer. I thought I know how to do a proper arm bar and it did work most of the time but when my jiu-jitsu coach gave me little tweaks such as pinching the knees together, staying tight on the body so your groin is right against the opponents shoulder, starting at the shoulder and sliding your arms up the arm as you fall back into it. These are only things that can be perfected with proper coaching and believe me there are plenty more with MMA it is much more complicated than it looks. Bodybuilding is no different. There are hundreds of small things that an inexperienced bodybuilder overlooks. An experienced trainer will bring this to light and teach you how to take full advantage of your training. Steroids before your body is full developed is just going to limit your full potential. You have to build as much as you can naturally while your hormones are still high. Take steroids too soon will mess up your hormonal balance and could cause many problems in the future. Just like training there is a lot more to steroids than you think. I would say that you should at least study them for couple years before you attempt to use them. This will at least give you a chance to do things correctly. Your endocrine system is not fully developed until 24 or 25 years old in most cases. At least wait until 22 or 23 this will give you time to learn what you need to learn.

I totally agree good form can't be learned through videos/reading. I was saying that as far as what exercises to do for each muscle, creating a good split/routine, and perfecting your diet can mostly be learned on your own. I have probably 4 years of martial arts experience and I know that it definitely can not be learned without proper coaching and sparring practice. For bbing a trainer would be a good investment, but IMHO one would only need enough time to learn good form and then the rest could be done on your own. What little experience I have with personal trainers was not so good, so maybe I'm slightly biased. Most of them I have met knew less than I did, and charged exorbitant amounts. I'm sure there are some very good and knowledgeable trainers out there though so my experience may not be the norm. In my experience many people who know nothing about working out think that if they pay enough money for a trainer they will suddenly be in better shape than someone who lifts on their own. Again I apologize if I came off as putting down trainers or those that use them, I simply don't think that one would need a trainer for much other than learning proper form. I don't think it can quite be compared to martial arts because that is nothing BUT technique, and there are far more than in BBing. As well as the fact that you absolutely must train with someone else or you will never be able to react quickly and with proper technique.

You had a bad experience with bad trainers. If you do the research before actually hiring one you can find a very competent and knowledgeable trainer out there in the sea of idiots. You also have to take into account when we look for a trainer it is a little different than when Grandpa Jim, who is 74, decides to look for a trainer. But there isn't really anything to differentiate between whether we get Grandpa Jim's trainer or Jay Cutler's just by looking at them. That comes down to research.
