Most of the summer I've been painting houses, which worked great for my training. I just lifting in the evening, and did a decent job of keeping with a solid diet. Well that job is over...

I got a temp job at the local Pepsi warehouse. the hours are 3- whenever we're done, sometimes as late as 2am. I never lifting anything really heavy, but I am constantly lifting 20-30 lbs... like we're talking literally hundreds of times. It's really tiring me out. A lot of arm work. I can feel it more than anything around my elbows.... I dont know if it's actually my joint or what.

As you can imagine working these crazy hours is killing my "diet". I've been going to bed right when i get home, and waking up at 12. if i'm going to lift, i have to squeeze it in then, along with some good. Then i get my dinner break at 7.

So not only am i running short on time, I'm using my upper body constantly...

The way I see it, i dont know how I'm going to make any gains during this period. Am I right in assuming that? How can I minimize the risk I am running of overtraining? Should I just stop lifting all together? afterall, this job is only lasting another week or two? I can lift on the weekends I guess. Any input would be appreciated

Up the cals. Carbs and Protein.

You just have to do what you can. I work 2-10:30PM. I have to leave at 1 and don't get home until 11:30PM (Later if necessary). For example, this is how I work it with my new job:

9:45AM - Breakfast
11:45AM - PWO meal
12:45PM - Eat a meal
4:00PM - Eat a protein bar
7:00PM - Take my lunch break which I pack in tupperware
10:00PM - Sneak off and stuff some food in my face real quick on the job
11:30PM - Have a snack
2:00-2:30AM - Eat my last meal

It differs sometimes because other days I don't lift, sometimes I have school and work, sometimes I jog, etc. Just do what you can...

i did the same job you are doing at coke several years ago. i wasnt interested in a fit lifestyle at the time so i cant help you there. the shift sucks ass i feel for you. if the job is only going to last another week or 2 i think i would just take a couple weeks off and get plenty of rest. spend that time coming up with a solid routine that you can start fresh with when the job is over. :thumb:

yeah, everything is kinda pointing to that. My creatine is about gone, I'm having trouble finding the time to get a quality workout in... etc

I guess when I go to school, I'm going to get a new rountine, diet, supps

BUT as soon as I say that, last night the job sucked, we were way overstaffed, so I think I may be done early... we'll see
