Hello all. Just joined this forum on the advice of my husband.

I am 36, have PCOS(diagnosed about 8 years ago) and I am certain I also have thyroid problems.

I am getting my blood checked this week, but I want to know exactly what I need to ask my doctor to order for me to get a complete look at my hormones and thyroid.

The current treatment for PCOS is a joke.

I am going to take matters into my own hands.

I have been overweight since puberty, obviously due to PCOS because before that, was always a skinny child.

I've done every type of diet out there, with limited success. I did do HCG and lost 50lbs on it. The only one that worked for me.

But for anyone that has done it, they know that is not a feasible lifestyle.

I went from 230 to 180. Still overweight but felt good. I have since gained back about 20lbs in the last year.

So, any advice of what blood work I should ask for? And, any advice on treatment afterwards?

Btw, I do exercise regularly, with some lapses, but not many. Zumba twice a week, plus added some weight training in. I was doing the 8 week trainer from Jamie Eason. Any recommendations in that area?

In the interest of full disclosure, I was recently prescribed phentermine, it has helped me lose 8 of the 20 I was up.

36 years old. 5'1" 192. My goal is 130....

Thanks in advance for replies and help :)
