I just began working out and have seen a trainer at the gym I go to. He's put me on a low carb(100 g per day with a 300 g cheat day), 150 g per day protein diet. I went to GNC and bought the Twin-Lab ripped fuel protein shake. :barf: My first question is, whats your opinion on twinlab? Ive seen other threads re: protein shakes, and it wasnt mentioned. And how do you fix up a shake to make it half way decent tasting? Is it ok to mix with skim milk?
Second, where can I find (on the net) easy recipes for low carb, high protein meals?

Im a 30 year old female, 5'10" 185 lbs, bf% 26 (yeah, i know).

twinlabs ripped fuel protien drink that your talking about is hard to choke down,dont think that all protein drinks are the same cuz they're not.they have really good products.BUY THE WAY WELCOME TO THE BOARD....:cool:
 
Yeah, I would mix the shake w/ water too....those carbs add up and if you're only getting 100g, I'd rather get it from something substantial. I have a few links for low carb recipes, but I'll have to get back to ya w/ them.

There are lots of better tasting products to choose from.
 
Oh and by the way if you go to nutramedia.com you can get some good information. The cookbooks by Laura Creavalle are excellent!

thanks guys for the warm welcome and advice! I think when i finish the can from twinlab, Im gonna check into the other protein shakes Ive seen mentioned in other threads.
