Hey guys , i'm 6' 155lbs, my goal is to gain 20 pounds, i know its going to take time, but i'm ready to put forth the commitment, I just recently started working out at home, i bought some multi vitamins and weight gainer to help add to my calorie intake. My question is what are some of the exercises i should be focusing on to enhance my muscle and weight gains? As well as the amount of sets/reps for each exercise. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated, i'm really trying to increase my low confidence. Thanks

Check all the "stickies" and then see if you still have many questions...if so then do a search for "beginner workout ideas" and see what pops up. welcome to the board. If you dont find what your looking for I will be surprised.

They were my stats 2 months ago. I'm about 5' 11 1/2". I weighed 155 when I discovered this board. I now weigh 175lbs. Its all about the diet. The weight lifting for me is the fun part. Diet is 80% of it. In theory the diet part is easy once you write it all down. Now try doing it for 2 weeks and see how sick you are of it. I have to go to the grocery store twice a week. I eat everything. The lifting part I look forward too. Squats, DeadLifts, Standing Shoulder Presses, Bench Press. Heavy and Intense.

5-6 meals a day helps a bunch. weight training is very important, but HOW you weight train is less important. just try different weight training techniques for a given time and see waht you like.

i'd say eat lots of protein and dont be afraid to gain a little fat. you can always cut later on, and since youre naturally skinny it shouldnt be too difficult to lose a couple pounds.
