Newbie question

So I was thinking that I might attempt some "enhancements"...but I don't want to go in blindly. Where can I get info for a newbie? I have a roommate who said he's going to Mexico soon and he can get "the pink pill?", but after reading the forums, it seems like there's a lot more than just getting a pink pill that you have no idea what's in it. Do all enhancements have to be injected, or can they be in pill form like my roomate says? I am currently 170 lbs, been trying to bulk for about two weeks now eating approx 3500 - 4000 calories a day and I haven't gained squat. I would like to bulk up to around 190 and then cut...I have one of those Tatiana weight scales that show your body fat, and I understand it's highly inaccurate, but at least it gives me some idea...anyways, I'm about 20% bf...so I am sure when I cut, I'll be back down to 170 again...but that's okay...at least I'll be lean. But anyways, any feedback would be cool...thanks.
 
all i got out of that is "pink pill" and bulking for 2 weeks, my advice don't try steroids until you read a LOT more

Have any suggestions on where to start...I know you can say forums...but what should I specifically be looking for?

If your buddy is going to Mexico and is willing to bring you back something might as well bring back a couple viles of Test Enan, you'll need it eventually.

how long have you been training? 2weeks?
how old are you?

and with training for 2 weeks so what you've hit each body part twice? three times max? no wonder you don't see anything and if you've worked out more than that you're over training. Patience my friend patience

what you really need is a good diet a sound workout routine and patience.
if you need help with any of that i'd be sure to help

at 20% bf you need to learn how to eat healthy like an athlete before turning to steroids...nutrition is 70% of this game
 
I can vouch for that, diet rules, we are a slave to what we eat.

Thanks for the replies all...I really appreciate it. I guess I should clarify. I have been lifting on and off for a while...and I have been back into it for about four months now. But these months were used to get back into shape and obtain my strength back. So I guess I should have said I have been on a bulk diet for about 2 weeks...well, 3 weeks now...and I have gained maybe a pound or so. It just gets really frustrating to attempt to bulk up and see no weight gain. I mean I guess I could attempt to diet and cut up, but like I said, at 20% body fat, I would probably lose 10-15 lbs...and that's no good. My split is as follows:

M - Chest and shoulders
W - Bi's and tri's
F - Back and traps
S- Legs (hehe...except I'm a little lazy when it comes to legs...I have really done any leg exercises yet...)

A typical day of food is usually:
Meal 1
2 eggs
2 egg whites
1/4 cup of grated cheese
1 whole wheat bagel

Meal 2
1 oz almonds
1 6 oz. cup of yogurt
1 medium banana
1 Avid source protein bar

Meal 3
8 oz top sirloin
1 medium sweet potato
1 tablespoon butter

Meal 4
3 scoops of Optimum Nutrition protein
1 1/2 cups of Soy Milk (to up the calories...I'm lactose intolerant)

Meal 5
8 oz ground beef
2 eggs
2 egg whites

Oh yeah, I'm 29...Again, appreciate any feedback!

your diet is low in good fats especially EFA's. use olive oil as your main source of monounsaturated fats. they keep your HDL:LDL ratio in check. you need to take in some Omega 3 fatty acids (around 6 grams a day). you can either use fish oil caps which are super cheap or get flax seed oil, which provides both Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids.

your diet is also low in carbs and fiber. you want to get around 30 grams of fiber in a day. eat whole oats, beans, lentils, brown rice, etc. you want most of your carbs to come from whole unprocessed carbohydrate sources.

I would go isolcaloric for your diet 33/33/33 which means 33% protein, 33% carbs and 33% fats.

at 170 lbs and 20% bf you have about 150 lbs of non-fat. so 3000 cals would be where you should be gaining weight at. if not then simply keep increasing the cals by 10% each week until weight gain occurs...

Hey Lam, thanks for the input...one question...since I have such a high percentage of bodyfat, do you recommend running while attempting to bulk? Or will I loose what I am trying to accomplish?
 
A scale can fool you man. Weighing yourself every day or even eod, (naturally) ur not gonna see gains!!! You got to think about it this way bro. If a bodybuilder were to gain 30 lbs in one year, that would be great. Do the math and you come up with avg gains of 1.2 lbs every 2 weeks. How are you gonna accurately guage that on a scale. You could take a shit and loose 2-3 lbs. So unless ur weighing only once a month you will not notice it on a scale, and even that is not accurate b/c like i said, shitting can offset that. Look in the mirror as a guage and give it some time.

hitting a body part three times a week is crazy...Even Mr. Olympians do not do that. Twice a week is too much as well if your trying to add weight on as well, especially if your under 200.

it all depends on how much volume you use. physiologicaly it doesn't matter if you do 12 sets for chest one Monday or or 4 sets on Mon-Wed-Fri, etc...

I was in Mexico about a week ago, and don't go down planning on picking up the "pink pill" as you put it. I went to 20 different pharmacies and nobody sells them anymore because of complaints of bunk shit. The only type of dbol you will find in mexico is the vet type and it says d-bol right on the label. They are blue and come in 10 mg pills. If you go with these, make sure you try to jew them down to no more than 65 bucks a bottle. Just a piece of advice.

stick to the advice you've been getting on this thread and you should be fine. and unless you or your friend is some expert on identifying the fake from the real gear in mexico your better off spending your money on something legal and "made in america" good luck
 
i was just in mexico 3 months ago. tijuana is loaded with good gear- especially the vet shops. dont expect any great deals though- they know what it should cost. tijuana thrives off americans spending money yet theyll still treat you poorly- youll feel like kicking ass after hitting the third pharmacy. anyway a blind guy could find juice down there. the hard part is getting it back. i wouldnt do it , but the safest way is probably shoving it up your ass.hahaha
