You shouldnt use Nolva for PCT.

Timing your PCT depends on what hormones you are using.

I think you should use Clomid for PCT other than Nolvadex

Clomid nolva and Aromasin isn't so bad. But you should definetly use Clomid and aromasin in PCT.

Nolva blocks estrogen in breast tissue, that is why it is used to treat breast cancer. Clomid block estrogen in the hypothalmus causing LH to be released and restoring testicular function. Therefore nolva should be used to treat gyno symptoms only, it is much less effective than clomid at restoring the HPTA. Also an AI is not needed in PCT, AI stop excess test from aromitizing to estrogen, your test is low during pct so nothing is there to convert to estrogen.

right so why wouldnt that be a good thing during pct, to prevent gyno? clomid doesnt bind as well to the breast receptors compared to nolva, so wouldnt combining the 2 be the best bet at restarting hpta and preventing gyno?

if ones androgen levels are bottomed out after a cycle, estrogen and cortisol are likely to rise. So why not use an ai like aromasin? plus the faster he gets up his T levels and controls estrogen, the more likely he keeps his gains, no?

Clomid and Nolva are both SERMS.
Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators.
They bind to specific estro receptors in the body.
This is not, however, limited to breast tissue in nolva
or hypothalamus in clomid.

Abstract

The effect of clomiphene citrate was investigated in fifty postmenopausal women and one man with advanced breast cancer.

Objective remission was observed in 20 patients (39·2%); 13 out of 31 non-responders showed either arrest or objective regression in some metastases, while other deposits continued in progression.

Both medications are used for the treatment of cancer.
Nolva seems to work exceptionally well for gyno symptoms. Clomid will still work but nolva seems to work better for this and for most does not carry the psychological sides sometimes seen in clomid therapy.

Clomid > Nolva for a PCT drug and for a fertility drug.
If you had to use on or the other for PCT I would use Clomid.

Some people do combine the 2 during PCT but its not really necessary.

If you have gyno symptoms...get some nolva.
If you are planning a PCT....get some clomid.

An AI like aromasin actually increases test 60% during PCT. It is very effective at restoring HPTA. Aromasin is a steroidal AI where letro and adex are not. There is a difference I can post an article explaining this if you would like me to. Also nolva can be used in PCT and is actually more potent at a much lower dose than Clomid. 20mg of nolva is nearly as effective as 150mg of clomid. Clomid is the better choice because it is much better for the reproductive system but Nolva does increase LH and help restore HPTA just not quite as effectively
