I used to drink tons of juice (O.J. grape juice etc) while I was trying to lose weight. I didnt think it had so many calories. Man I was such a idiot. I just drink water now.

I over ate when I was bulking.

I thought, just eat, eat, and eat.

Too many cals, and the wrong cals.

overtraning when i first started. now i know better, you grow out the gym not in it.

And too many sugary drinks, manly coke.

wasted a shit ton of money at gnc till i figured out all i need is just protien. every once in a while creatine. mostly over payed at gnc.

That's why we are all here to help each other out with these bonehead mistakes!

nice have you ever had to roll a bar off your chest from a decline bench position that is a freakin good time.

its not scary till all the blood starts rushing to your head and you realize oh fuck. i have never gone max on bench again i go heavy but never max or failure.

I'm going to go with paying for expensive bullshit supplements.

ok i thought a set was like if u did 10 rested 8 seconds did 10 more rested 8 seconds did ten more that was 1 set.... i guess that is in fact 3 sets. soooo no wonder my workouts were long. man have i got a lot to learn. :o

set a sequence of one or more complete performances of a movement, or rep done as a unit with minimal or no pause in between. When you pick up a barbell, curl it ten times, and then put it down, that is one set of ten reps.

note to self. thank god and satan Vanity explains things to me.

oy

i almost cut a toe off setting up my heavybag rack. looked kinda hardcore when i got it set up with all the blood under it.

using way to much weight and terrible form... everyone in highschool thought i was badass cuz i was doing the max chest fly and lat pull down, swaying back and forth lol.

Also, just cheating myself in the gym. 3 sets of 10 and I can barely feel it, but i was using decent weights so i thought it was ok. Now, if im not pushing myself as hard as I can each and every day I am dissapointed.

and i bought a few too many supps to start... the woman at the counter was just so persuasive!

Working the same muscles every workout.

Not trying to make more of an effort to get the equipment to do pull-ups and dips when I workout at home.

One time i was in a hurry to school and asked my mother to make my meals for the day (i had school then work, out of the house at 7am and back around 8pm). I needed 3 meals to take with. I gave her specific instructions, but for someone not health/BB oriented i guess it was too much. Instead of some sour cream for my sweet potato and mayo in my tuna...i got sour cream in my tuna and mayo in my sweet potato. Patrick (P-funk) watched me eat the tuna+sour cream+copious amounts of hot sauce to drown out all other tastes lol.

That was the first and only time i asked my mother for help with my meals.

Buying to many Suppliments.
Lifting heavy weights with bad form eg using body swing to help lift the dumbells.
Not adjusting my diet to suit my new fitness ruitine.

just about any one that says it has a huge scientific background. some are worth a shit but for me that has mostly been cutting agents. like vpx's products. i would stay away from no2 that is a load of shit. well at least for me it was.

sorry that last post was not clear i like vpx's products. i have never got a bad product from them.

:roflmao:

Buying too many supplements instead of eating real food.

This was my biggest, mistake at the beginning looking for the "super" supplement instead of finding a good balance between diet/supplementation.
