Dale Mabry said:I watched a guy, a trainer noentheless, do cleans in the gym before the holidays. I cannot even explain what he was doing. He was actually doing hang cleans. He started by lowering his thighs and resting the bar on them. He then sat there for 5 seconds and muscled up the weight, unevenly mind you, for aBout 5 seconds. his end position had the bar resting on his clavicle and his elbows down at his sides. Pretty funny to watch.
Not true son, my opinion is always the only true answer!Squaggleboggin said:This is true, but often times there is no one right answer. There may be different opinions, each with some very valid points and arguments. It's up to you to decide who is 'right' for what you need.

I agree 100%MyK said:my gut reaction is that anyone who needs a personal trainer obviously has some self efficacy and motivational issues.
but then seeing all the noobs at the gym this past week makes me realize that ALOT of people do need the guidance of a personal trainer. However, they need them there in the flesh to help show proper form and exerciseds and all that crap that we just assume everyone knows.
this is why an online personal trainer is rediculous, IMO for a personal trainer to be of worth they need to be there in the flesh!

gopro said:I have been online coaching for years and my customers love it. I even do contest prep online and as long as my clients cooperate, it works amazingly well. Obviously I charge about 3X as much to train someone in person, but for those that can't afford it, or don't live close by, online training is an excellent alternative.
