I didn't say shed win, but if the primary were held today, what republican would beat her?

A lot of the hammering on Palin is being allowed (IMO) by the GOP itself.

The GOP will be running in a national Presidential election in 3 years. Let Palin fade now, don't defend here against the multi-pronged attacks.

She's alienated too many demographic groups to ever coalesce a political "tent."

Having her ca$h in now, is probably better for the RNC, as 3 years, is an eternity in national politics.

Read between the lines and don't take everything so literally. Next time you here someone say that they want change, just place the words "for the better" at the end of the sentence, and then you will know what they are implying.

Asking for change is just another way of saying "this shit ain't working, so lets try something else!"

Most voters are Indepedents. Moreso the D or R.

Many people lean towards one party or another, but they do cross party lines.

The "die-hards" - partisans - that Min0 describes remind me of fans who blindly root for the football team.

"Liberals" - they are only one piece of an electorate voting bloc (one of many groups in a tent).

"Conservatives" - there are 7 different kinds of them, technically. Some of this group of 7 have left the GOP, and gone to the Libertarians, voted for Obama, or stayed home.

We don't know which ones, nor how many will return in 3 years for the next Presidential election.

I believe this will largely dependon 1. what platform the RNC adopts, and 2. what GOP candidate gets the nomination.

i agree , i just don't see how she makes it through the primeries, the other republicans are gonna eat her up.their gonna be playing the fact ,that she quit being governor.their gonna call her a quitter.maybe not now, but they will.

But someone like Ron Paul will NOT be the a Republican candidate. Period.

The GOP would never allow it, nor would the mainstream media.

Ron Paul is a Libertarian basically.

It's too late for that. It's too late.

Social Security was pillaged around 1983 by politicians of both parties, after SS got more revenue from a payroll tax hike. This revenue was taken and spent, who knows where.

Medicare-D, passed in 2003 and implemented in 2006, is the death knell.

The US was on a path of fiscal destruction before Obama.

And now that Obama has been elected, Obama has simply accelerated the financial demise of the United States.

It won't be a crash in 2010 & 2011. It will be a slow bleed. A pain wound that bleeds and bleeds, taking a large portion of the middle-class down with it.

I never bought into the whole change thing, I'm just saying I cant believe how many naive aholes there were that drove around with there obama bumper stickers declaring that we want obama because he preaches change, sorry but the change he's trying to bring aint the change I want. I don't like big government and never will, case closed.
