Well it's been a year since i took pictures, and all in all ive lost a little b/f, but moreimportantly i've actually filled out and put on a nice 32lbs of weight (1 stone?).

Thanks to all, now critique, anything you think i should work a bit harder say so. I know what they are already, it'd be good to know from you guys :P.

Cheers for all the information on this site, though i dont post often, im lurking quite a bit.

The albums are date-named.

Thanks in advance!

32lbs =2.2 Stones

Pretty good, but eat more..a lot more. What was your weight before? 32 lbs is a lot and honestly i dont see it in the pics

weight now = 11 stone
weight in most of the other pics (1 year ago): 9.5/10
weight in the older pic when i have a bass guitar: 8.5

i must have mess up changing that to lbs :P it was more like half that then, i thought it sounded a bit much.

I am trying to eat more, thats been the main thing throughout my training. i'm having 4 meals + protein supps a day as it is. I used to only eat 1 meal a day at my worst. I was a very ill fool.

thanks, it's taken a lot of hard work and research, what i do still changes regularly even after 2 years :P

I can see the 32lbs. How tall are you? Nice improvement. Keep up the good work.

Thanks DB, im 5' 10", so not particularly tall really. trying to make up for it horizontally!

I'm getting used to gains taking a while now, when i first started (as most people do) i thought i was gonna get big after my first workout. Damn newbies ;).

Nice improvement man!

Nice job man.

Just wondering, how long have you been working out so far?...a year?..

Very good progress sir. I think your back is definitely a strong point. Keep it up; things can only get better from here.

Dayum, i WISH i was 187! that would be awesome at this height.

How heavy are you?

Thanks very much! Compliments always mean a lot to me when it comes to this sort of thing. I'm one of those people who could have 21" arms and see a skinny runt in the mirror.

DiGiTaL -

Cheers! And i've been working out for about 2 years, but its only the last year that i've really started hitting it hard and making any real headway. You know what its like when you start off, so many lies out there, and you know nothing.

I owe a lot to a teacher at my old school, he gave me a load of advice. That guy was massive...think he had 22" upper arms at one point, and he's a little shorter than me :-|.

I think that too, i could probably hit it a bit harder though, the problem is that i dont usually have enough time to get to the gym, so i work out at home, so dont have the advantage of cable machines etc. Free-weights are pretty good though i guess. Doing bent over rows, deads, and dumbell rows/dumbell bench rows atm.

Are there really any other exercises for free weights? Any ive missed out that you do?

Cheers also!

Nice!

The cool thing is, im as heavy as a few friends who are 6, 6' 2", and im a good few inches shorter.

You on the other hand i would NOT like to tangle with :P

Let me let you in on a little secret. Freeweights are the best tool in the world to build both functional strength and mass, at least in my opinion. You can do so much with them. I would get stands so that you can do squats and a couple of sawhorses for safety purposes in case you get stuck.

They key is to eat, and eat a lot. I know you said you are eating 4 meals plus shakes. That's awesome. It shows you're on the right track. However, if you stop gaining weight, then you aren't eating enough food. If your gains turn out to be mostly fat, then you are either eating too much (Rare) or your training program is off. I have done all kinds of routines with all kinds of setups. I made plenty of awesome gains in my basement with basic equipment and good ol' fashioned big eating.

Pretty impressive results, grats. Nice arms + back, but your chest looks pretty underdeveloped. Work on your presses more and you will have a very well rounded physique.

Oh, i agree with that one. It makes sense really, theres no machine to help you out with the weight, you have to do it all yourself. I really need to get a room dedicated to this stuff.

The problem with eating, is that at times it can be a bit of a struggle trying to fit all these meals into one day, ill have to try something though, even if i have to take two lunch breaks. Ill have to pop over to the diet forum and see if theres any small/easy but high-cal things i could fit in a lunchbox to take to work.

I i could fit in at least 1 extra meal that'd be something...2 if possible. Eat at 7:30, 10:00, 1:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00. + Shakes.

Thats a lotta eating :P

Thanks for the advice though, it really is appreciated :)
