So, i leave for the navy in 18 days. I have two big family parties and their is going to be plenty of good food...Also, a bunch of my friends want to take me out to restaurants I've never been to before. Also, another friend is trying to get me to have a blizzard before i go, lol.

What do you think, should i live a little and eat off my diet before i leave, or keep a healthy conscious? I'm 150lbs right now and in shape. I can't weigh more than 175lbs before 18 days. lol, i don't think i have anything to worry about.

I mean, how much weight could i possibly gain? Also, if I'm eating some of this food, could i possibly end up going to boot camp a little out of shape? (I'm going to continue and workout, so don't worry about that)

Navy bootcamp is a complete joke dude. You can sleepwalk through it. You have NOTHING to worry about at all.

Not to mention the training schedule is very planned out, you start out slow and work your way to the hard stuff.

Absolutely do not worry at all. Pig out all you want.

You may gain a bit of weight, but the majority of it will be water and glycogen.

You ain't gonna be 175lbs though. Assuming you gain 15lbs of water and glycogen (which is a LOT) then you would still need to overeat by 35,000 calories, and that is OVER maintenance calories.

Don't worry about it.

Yeah knock yourself out. You'll keep training so just make sure to hit your protein and healthy fats, enjoy the rest of your diet and you'll be set in the fact that you'll probably gain more muscle than fat. Maybe get a bit more volume or something in the training sessions as you'll now have more energy to work with. By the end of boot camp you'll probably lose both muscle and fat (I don't know much, but I hear the food isn't all that plentiful or good and the activity is pretty high) and be back down to whatever weight you started with, if not lower.

Go eat! This shouldn't even be a question. What are you, a WOMAN?

(OH I crack myself up!)

lol, alright. I'll go out and have a good time.

Thanks for the advice!

I might have to throw in a few going away shots as well! :thumb:
