nothing has changed same president,we got more house Republican this election more republican Gov most since year 2000, few more democratic senators so nothings has changed from 4 years ago STATUS QUO.You Liberals better take your head out of your ass because this plan that this idiot president came up with is a JOKE it wont happen.Get ready for the fiscal cliff not to happen because this moron of a president is power hungry and will sink the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and he already has started. You people on welfare get a job at Mc Donalds,Sams club,Menards Home depot were they are hiring.Get off your asses and buy a phone of your own instead of milking the GOV.We have a bunch of lazy Fuks in the country and one day its going to bite you in the ass.

As far as the welfare thing there ARE people who physically and mentally can not work, like Autistic kids that don't have a family to help them. What I don't like is this, my friend Adrian's parents died when he was 18 and hes 20 now. Him and his brother are on their own, no family. He can't go to school, can't do ANYTHING because he has to work 24/7. They can't get help when they try to go to the welfare places... But he said when he was there he saw a couple of people roll up in a escalade and say to someone they saw they were going to get their check to go to seaside.... Those people should be hung.

The only thing about the "plan" both sides came up with that made sit up and take notice came from the Democrats. They want to give the president power to control the debt ceiling and budget oversight. That is just plain wrong. The power of the purse has always been in the hands of the House. To give one man that much power is just tyranny.

Blah blah blah... President Obama is going to sink the country ? Wake the fuck up bush did that's decade ago... Shut the fuck up and contribute to the country stop fucking bitching like a whinny school boy... Guess what bitch all y want it won't change anything

U can't fix in four years what was fucked up in 8

why not?

for what it's worth.. the financial collapse was decades in the making.. but i suppose it's easier to blame everything on Bush than get educated on the facts. (not saying he was a good president by any stretch of the imagination)

What did Obama do to devastate the country educate me

well, i never said that he did technically, but ill answer your question anyways..

-the stimulus package (3 republicans signed onto it) was a huge 787 billion dollar waste.. even he admits it was a failure
-the healthcare law, an abomination of the legislation process.. purely partisan and rammed up the asses of the american people (Scott Brown R. ran in Mass., the most liberal state in the union. His platform was "i will vote against the healthcare bill".. he won"). It will cause an obscene increase in taxes and beaurocracy

those are the two best known ones.. havent done much research on cap and trade..

but the devastation is yet to come, so buckle up

I work union so healthcare for me is tip top and I don't mind paying for those who can't afford healthcare to b taken care of...I pay for them to use my roads my schools my libraries u not pay for them to b healthy

That's a very small list compared
To the thins bush did but ok I guess obama will destroy out country

well i never said he would destroy it, tho he is making a contribution

well it certainly makes more sense why you have your point of view :coffee:

I'm just talking shit I'm no where near educated enough on the subject to debate about it

Lol your right but I didn't vote for that exact reason well that and I'm not allowed to yet

failure? depends on what you expected out of it, it helped to slow job loss. nothing was going to reverse the effects of the housing market crash unless of course US homeowners were going to be bailed out vs the Fed and US Treasury handing out 16T in secret loans to the people that caused the financial collapse to begin with.

the stimulus was FAR TOO SMALL as was stated by all the leading nobel economists and weighed far too heavily in tax cuts. 800B on a 14T economy spread out over 3 years is only a 2% stimulus a year, a freaking joke as Krugman stated in early 2009. it also relied on the co-operation of the governors of each state. the republican governors used their stimulus monies on tax giveaways for large firms, talk about a complete waste of money.

considering that the US fed gov hands out 1T a year in subsidy and tax giveaways to billion dollar firms..no big deal there

did it take 4 years for the US to recover from the great depression? not even close but it did take longer when the deficit hawks on the right demanded that fiscal stimulus was cut to early when unemployment was still high, which caused the economic downturn to last longer than needed be. the same exact thing they demanded AGAIN in 2009, brilliant...

what tools did they use to put people back to work? PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS which the GOP calls a waste of money in this day and age....freaking awesome

you should try actually learning US history...

we didn't recover from the great depression until after ww2 when govt liquidated debt, cut govt spending by 60% and reduced taxes.

cut taxes on who?

the fed gov raised taxes with the Revenue Act of 1942 to pay for war debt
U.S. Federal Individual Income Tax Rates History, 1913-2011 (Nominal and Inflation-Adjusted Brackets) | Tax Foundation

the top tax rate was at over 90% from 1944 until 1963

and of course spending decreased the WAR WAS OVER and the US population was only 50million.

the US of 2012 is not even close to the same as it was in 1950..the population is 6x greater and it's now consumption based with a large financial sector and small manufacturing sector.

They increased the tax base too though. The number of people paying taxes quadrupled. The reality is tax revenue as a percent of GDP has been roughly the same since WWII. Leftists like to quote how high the top tax bracket was back then but that number is inflated in the context of what Americans are taxed on today. Taxes are almost a non-issue.

Yea it's us damn Mexicans lol

It's not the national debt that's murdering, raping, robbing, burglarizing, stealing cars, doing graffiti or being an eye sore.

This is the inconvenient truth so many liberals refuse to accept. Just like the idea that raising rates solves all problems while leaving the biggest cost drivers in place. I swear the democrats can't do a logical thing unless there's more taxes and "fairness" built into it.

1942? Are we really using that as the driving force for policy when it is a different country and world now? If we are lets just throw in the towel now and give up because we won't win anyways.
