ever hear those speeches about wasted talent and ppl who wished they had what you have hating you? yeah that would be ricky williams. (spaz)![]()
Dale Mabry said:Obviously they based his pay on some criteria, ie. yardage and TDs. So if he doesn't make what they consider to be that criteria, then it is considered to effect on-field performance. The pay is based on what he can do for the team, I am pretty sure you can tell if he is worth the money or not.

ALBOB said:On the surface I agree with this. My point is that being measured against some arbitrary "standard" is just that, arbitrary. There's no way to tell what level a person COULD be performing to. Therefore I'm all in favor of drug testing just to eliminate that possible deterrent to peak performance.![]()
Dale Mabry said:That is the problem, just because someone is doing drugs does not mean they will perform any worse than someone who gets drunk every night.
I heard it on one of the radio sports stations hear

It looks like Ricky doesn't care that he has to give back $8million to the Dolphins as this will force him to quit even if he changes his mind.
Very sad.
I saw on the Fox link that apparently Ricky Williams still has severe Anxiety Disorder & heard Jason Taylor say he's very shy & quiet.
Ricky doesn't exactly have a lifetime worth of money. He got screwed in NO when Master P signed that ingenious contract where Ricky made a base salary and not much else. He was in Miami only for a couple of years, so in reality this is where he made his money. For you and I it's a lifetime worth of scratch, but he'll blow it quickly. He smokes hash, and I know hash is not the most expensive of "hobbies", but it is still expensive. He loves to travel and he likes his Hummers. You tell me...feeq said:1) I think Ricky did a very smart thing. He said f ck it and walked away while everyone was on his c ck. Some people don't realize that it's his life and he can do what he wants.
2) Who in there right mind wants to work for a living when they can just sit back, relax, smoke, travel and get laid because they have alreday made a lifetimes worth of money at the age of 27.
3) A fact that allot of people don't know is that he is set for life. He walked away from the pro's at 27 everybody wants to do a movie/book about him know. And besides that the NFL takes care of it's own, once a player is in the leauge for 5 or more years and decides to retire they have to pay him a percentage of his highest salary for life. Not to mention the fact that he left after he got his roster bonus for the year! And who wants to play for the Dolphins anyway they will never win lol.![]()
