Sauna?

Hey i was just wondering if going to the sauna after an intense workout would affect my gains?
 
Minimal factor, I wouldn't worry about details like that.

However, I'd rather go eat right after training instead of sitting in a sauna.

What is your purpose for going in the sauna?

I'd agree with this, eating is far more important than being in the sauna. Plus personally I don't see any use for the sauna, nothing happens in there that you can't do for weight loss in your workout.

I do enjoy the sauna, but after a workout wouldn't be my first choice. I think the sauna is relaxing at other times, though. Shouldn't affect gains.

Straight after a workout I'll always take my wpi, amino acids and all that. I pretty much just go because it feels good and straight after the sauna I go home and pig out anyway, I was just concerned that going to the sauna after a workout would affect my results because I remember
reading somewhere that it does.

Nothing like a cup of joe in the sauna to get things moving in the morning.

I go in the jacuzzi after working out before going in the shower so I wont feel cold when the shower turns on. I want to feel warm and hop under the shower right away. I am only in the jacuzzi for 5 minutes after I workout and I stretch in there with whatever stretches I could do in it. water is about 100 something degrees, feels good. anyone else do it?
 
I love the sauna after a workout - really gets you relaxed.
 
yeh it has its benefits, i use the steam room after my work out. its good for relaxation plus other benefits like clearing the skin of any dirt and just generaly looking healthier., im 28 now so ill do anything to try and keep myself looking youngish:loser2: ... the lungs always seem to feel good after 2
