O...Canada!
I have a dilemna.

I can't hold a diet worth a crock of crap.

I have changed most of my foods/meals for the better, but because of my lack of discipline, my friends and my living arrangements, I have a tendency to brush off my diet plans/routine for not better, but for worse.

My goals are total mass and strength (I hope to weigh 240-250. Currently 230.) with minimal bodyfat. I am not looking for the complete diuretic-like pro rip, but I would like to have a smaller waist and gut, and toned/defined better.

I'd also like to have a chest that I can stand a bottle of V8 on, but that's a couple of weeks away and another topic altogether. ;)

So, is there any technique, supplement, discipline or psychology that you generously gifted Meatheads use that keeps you on track in regards to diet?

Your ingenious advice is always appreciated!

I use Sundays to prepare my meals for the week. Cook all meat, buy veggies/fruit, make sure I have enough egg whites, tuna etc.

That way unless I want to waste all that food, I have to eat it, plus there are no excuses as to no time, not having the right foods, etc. Works for me, and now the wife is doing it and works for her too.

Same here Shooter! I prepare all my food on sun and wed (for me and my BF) It is more convenient and prevents you from grabbing "bad" meals or snacks cause you are in a hurry!

I schedule a cheat meal for every Fri and Sat night. I will eat whatever I want in any amounts I want. This keeps me disciplined during the week. I also rely heavily on MRPs! I finally have found one that I love the taste of and that agrees with my tummy. Since I enjoy these shakes my diet seems easier.

Its also about how bad you want it! You're dedication to your diet will only be as good as your passion is to look the way you want. This is what seperates the "men from the boys."

Some good tips in here. I like a cheat day once a week as well, but I'm trying to avoid it this week, because MY cheat day is a 1/2 gallon of ice cream :D

More and more I just got tired of being in the shape I was, and eventually you have to either do something about it, or have it constantly bother you. I'm not used to having a belly so having one at all is discusting and you realize your just going downhill, for me thats not acceptable so here I am, trying to get rid of it and get in shape. I also like the mirror idea, are you happy with it? If not then learn to hate it, and get rid of it. The time is "now" there is no tomorow, no next week, yada yada.
