hello everyone. for a long time my right shoulder give had give me a serious problem, because it limit the weight i can lift.

its important to mention that i sleep over the right side and some mornings i feel some hurt.

other thing i have notice its when i do flat bench press my shoulder hurt at the time, i shoul go inmediately to warm up the cuff rotator to relief a litle bit.

any comment i will apreciate. thanks

I would like to know about this too. I've always had shoulder trouble. Its one or the other it seems. I have a lot of pain in my left shoulder when I wake up in the mornings too and that could be the worst time actually. I can bench pretty good if I'm careful but just gets on my nerves and pisses me off. Thought about igf lr3 but don't know much I would need to just strengthen up my shoulders or get them healthy again.

Not to steal your thread or anything I would like to know about this too man.

I went through the same thing with my left shoulder But I believe mine was much more painful than yours Could not sleep at because of the pain, I could not do and chest movements or shoulder workouts with out being in serious pain. and it wasn't that type of pain that you can usually work through and in a couple weeks it will be gone, things just got worse. So i started doing some rotator cuff movement and stretches and things have been so much better since I started

I recommend you start doing some rotator cuff movements

I've had problems with my shoulders too and in my case it was caused from flaring my elbows out when I lift. Although after changing my form by tucking my elbows in when I bench my injury eventually returned.
I've recently had a cortisone shot in my shoulder which gave me instant relief and now I'm back training with 100% intensity.
I have dropped flat bench altogether and I now use only dumbells and machines with a neutral grip to take the strain off my shoulders.

Good luck with it. Shoulder injurys suck and they take a long time to heal.

By the way, as stated above. Rotator cuff exercises are essential for preventing injury.

^^ Always good to stretch out them joints and do these movements to gain strength there. I'll also agree with BHF below. I've nearly dropped BB bench altogether. I know it's not the Macho thing to do, but I get more of a workout with DB's anyways.

mmm

Good thread. I have recurring shoulder pain in my right side. And, I flare my elbows out on incline bb bench as well as military press. I'll change my form and see if that makes a difference. GYGCH!

My right shoulder has been giving me problems. Been going to a chiro and a massage therapist. Has been helping a tiny bit...

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
I had the same thing, mainly on flat bench days and the days after. I changed my form and made sure to tuck my elbows and it is around 90% better now. Still hurts a little but nothing like it was for sure!! I also take fish oil and glucosamine/msm.

Also, using dumbells rather than the barbell helps out a great deal. It allows you to tuck your elbows into your body a bit more to place more emphasis on the chest rather than the shoulders.

everyone post here the experiences about one same misktake... probably thereare more that one ways to fixit.
in my case yesterday made my chest prog before to go to the incline bech warm up the cuff rotattor and it was great awesome... the workout was enjoyable.jajja

this mornig no pain no sore anything that i felt before.
but it does mean it is over i need to be Alert!
always putting attencion and reading all the post about this great topic.

had this problem in my right shoulder for about half a year. sometimes at night or in the morning when i awoke, my arm would be dead numb. after half a year i brought it up to my doctor. i told him about the pain and explained that every time i did an overhead press it seemed to aggravate it.

he told me to stop an overhead press (damn doctors are smart). after eliminating the o.p. from my routine my shoulder pain went away.

looks like the rotation cuff is a injury which invade to all guys who go to ythe gym after some years to be lifting..

my bad dude. seems as though i stepped on your dick there.

dont like dostoevsky?

I had similar issues like what you guys are desrcibing and also thought it was Rotator Cuff, but i actually had a Torn labrum in both shoulders, Bascially it a minute tear that cant be seen on Xray you need MRI, but as you lift weights for chest, shoulders and put presure on the tear it releases puss which inflames the area causing pain. Over time the puss can go away and get absorbed by the body but you would need to stop using the shoulder, option B would be to have surgery but rehab is usually 4 months.. I chose to stop lifting and pain went away now im lifting again but i dont think I will do heavy weight anymore as i like to live a pain free life style.

dont go all the way down when you bench heavy... i was told if you go all the way down it works more shoulders and if you go lil over 3/4 way down it does more chest...
and also work your inner and outer rotation with a band 4 warmups
