My arms are the size I want, don't want any bigger. I need to focus on toning them up. How do I do this without adding more weight and making them larger? Just more reps?

Thanks :)

Lose weight, then your arms will be toned. There is no such thing as spot fat reduction attained by weight training. Rearrange your diet accordingly and start burning those cals. There is no way to lose fat and make them larger, they may apper to be larger b/c you have shed some fat off of them but once you lose enough stored fat for your arms to be toned, chances are they will be quite a bit smaller. thats just the way the game goes. Just out of curiosity what are they measuring at now?

5'8" 165lbs

Right now they are at 14". That's as large as I want to go in order to keep my full range of motion for Golf and soccer.

I really have no fat to lose there, I am at around 6% bodyfat...

i dont know....i am a girl and i am 12" and my pipes dont get in the way of anything :D

I'm 5'8 too... my arms are 12.5" and I have no problems doing the things I want to do either.

oh geeze.what is my ass doing up still

Why do you feel that having arms larger than 14" will interfere with your range of motion?

Fact is, I run for 90 minutes straight in a game, averaging about 8 miles. I also need to do intense cardio to keep in that kind of shape. I know this is a bodybuilding forum, but I am not going for huge, just adequately proportioned.

Hey Username....I played both golf and Soccer while in school, and size/muscularity has little to nothing to do with your performance. What you need to concentrate on is flexibility. and stamina. Both can be maintained easily, even with a more muscular build. Besides, think about it. Wouldn't you like to scare the other guy when sprinting up to a 50/50 ball?:D
