Hey man, I dont know about hash for sure but i smoke a little bit of pot. Ive made consistent gains while smoking it. Some people think that it may lower Testosterone levels, which obviously is a bad thing. The jury is still out on that though.

let me give u some stats.
-i bench press everyday
-i can bench 225 with my ass practically 5 feet in the air and the bar wobbly as fuck
-when i squat i go down 2 inches.. but i sqaut 500, thats good right?
- uhh and yeah i take some supplements, but i didnt really research them. i just kinda took them and hoped they wud work. i think they are called something like andro and d-bol...i still dont see any gains tho, just big bitch titties.

Yeah i smoke a bit as well and i make fairly consistent gains but they'd probably be better if i didn't. I guess it depends on how serious you are about bodybuilding.

His question was "will it affect my musclebuilding" not "will it prevent me from gaining muscle" and IMO it does affect musclebuilding
 
Coming from an ex smoker of cigarettes here, you will make gains but they will be extremely limiting. The carcinogens in cigs will hinder muscle recooperation and being that your respitory system will be declining over time, that will hinder your training as well. Surprisingly a lot of fitness gurus and BB's alike smoke especially if they are from the older generation. They do it in private or just wait til you see them at the bar. It's hard to quit but always possible. More importantly you are hurting your overall health and cutting your lifespan down by half if not just a few years away. Smoking induced cancer is usually not like other cancers. They come on fast and usually take full throttle sometimes in just a few weeks or months. Hope you find the power to quit. ;)
 
Well arnold smoked hash now and then and he was bigger then any guy on this board.

I dont think technically its a stupid thread, bruce lee smoked hash quite a bit and he was the best at what he did to.

I dont ever smoke hash and dont think on the whole its good for you, but can you do it without over damaging your gains, well I think you can if you do it in Moderation.

Also who said he smoked it with tobacco?

You will be suprised at what passive smoking amounts to in equivalent number of cigarettes smoked throught your lifetime, we better never go clubbing or to a pub again!.

Maybe he should tell us how much he smokes it and how often? then based on that we could start flamming him for the obvious, but if he smokes on a weekend a bit then I dont think his muscles will suffer a huge deal.

I just realized you meant pot. I suppose the same principle would apply. Not as much though but all in all any smoke through the body is not optimal.

Most things in moderation. For example, cocaine in moderation = bad. Marijuana is arguable.
 
I don't smoke pot, but the question for the original poster is:

How often do you smoke hash?
 
Smoking pot will eventually cause your muscles to rot. That is not good for building your muscles. It is also bad for your brain. That is not good for building your muscles. It also causes your respiratory system to collapse. That is not good for building your muscles. Yes, it will most certainly affect your muscles, and in a very negative way.

really i don't see whats wrong with smoking pot every once in awhile, i highly doubt it will affect your gains at all.. but i often find myself in the middle of a workout saying "i'd rather be smoking a doobie right now"
 
I'd say, yeah it would effect your muscles. You wouldn't be able to get to the gym because you'd be locked in a jail cell.
