Hey, I need to implement some protein into my before and after workouts, and since protein shakes aren't really an option for me I was just curious if these would be an OK substitute. If not could someone suggest what to get, thanks!

Bah haven't gotten any whey yet, waiting for next check.LAM said:why can't you put your days supply of whey in a plastic baggy and use a shaker cup when it's time to mix it up ?

But that sounds like an excelent idea, just put whey and mix with water?

Alternatively, you could also add some oats to the whey powder as well and drink that when you mix in some water (got to love those lumpy shakes!).

If I have a banana in the morning w/ my protein shake, and am looking for some complex carbs to eat quickly with my protein shake post workout, do you recommend eating two bananas per day?Emma-Leigh said:Whey + carbs.
How about taking a banana and a carton of skim milk with you? Then fill the shaker with the milk and drink this while you eat your banana.

I eat a banana in my shake w/ oats, so I think I have that solved. I also eat only multi grain/wheat breads aswell as alot of brown rice.Jodi said:I think for PWO the banana will be better used and in the am and throughout the rest of the day go with oats, sweet potatoes, brown rice, and whole grains.
Sweet potatoes are a completely different animal than "regular" potatoes. They are only lumped together because the look alike...sort of...a little.soxmuscle said:How are sweet potatoes so much better for you than a regular baked potato?
