So, the summer is almost here. I'm trying to do whateveryone else is trying to do around this time of year; drop some bf%, gain some lean muscle. My training regiment is basically somewhat modified Max-OT. I don't really do cardio now, but I do play soccer for 2-3 hours every saturday.

Basically, being a very, very rec. type of BB I refuse to go on a bulk or a straight cut. I'm always eating at around maintainance, somedays above some days below. I do throw in a mildly-low carb day here and there. My approach is slow, easy and very gradual. Not expecting any drastic changes. Anyway, is this a good way to achieve what I'm trying to achieve? I'm currently at about 12-13% bf. Looking to get it down to about 10% while not losing any muscle. Basically I need to lose about 4-5lbs of fat. How should I adjust? Im looking to do it in a very gradual manner.
 
Start walking on a treadmill brisk walk 3 times a week for 30 minutes

List what you eat on a regular day, we may need to take some things out
 
I basically center my diet around protein. I get about 60-90 grams of protein per day from Muscle Milk. Lunch is my heaviest meal, usually around 1000 calories, because I never eat breakfast (maybe I should start, though)..

For lunch, I usually load on protein ; seafood, lean meats (excellent buffet where I work), usually also get plenty of greasy carbs, mostly in the form of fried rice, lomain, and other similar crap.

Before bed I usually get my postworkout Muscle Milk and sometimes a chicken breast sandwich if I'm feeling hungry.

That pretty much sums it up. Would love to eat more fruits & veggies, but the lifestyle is not exactly permitting...(I work and study full time)


Basically it goes:

-nothing for breakfast
-muscle milk (sometimes)
-heavy lunch
-muscle milk
-small meal pre-workout
-muscle milk post workout
-optional small sandwich

Yeah you should start eating breakfast. I wouldn't have more than one muscle milk a day. Get some whey for your post workout. It's going to be cheaper than muscle milk anyway. Read the stickies. That diet is horrible.
 
Definitely eat a breakfast. I will have protein pancakes on-hand for running late days. Sounds like you could clean it up too and that would help.
 
Well, truthfully I love muscle milk, and I can't stand everything else. I haven't experiemented with many other protein powders lately, but I remember dreading seeing those 10lb bags of ON crap. If you could suggest something that's close to muscle milk in taste and sollubility that would be great though...

Maybe I should start going with egg proteins? Money isn't really an issue for me.

But you're definately right, I'm going to replace the greasy carbs, with raw veggies from the bar...I wonder why I couldn't think of doing that by myself...

Anything else I should tweak?

I have used BSN Lean Dessert and it's so good! Not sure how it compares to muscle milk but it's really yummy.

If you can do eggs, then yes. I would and you need some fats so the yolks won't be too bad. I usually do 2 whole and 2 whites for breakfast.

Sometimes we do not realize what we are doing until it's pointed out to us and I'm sure that other stuff tasted good..lol

I'd just get a game plan together either for a week in advance or each night for the next day. It helps me to know what I need to take with me to work for the next day's food.

I just got a 10 lbs tub of cytosport (who makes muscle milk, of course) tub of vanilla bean. No it don't taste quite as good, but man up and drink it. It don't taste THAT bad either.
