I really need to go before the IM firing squad and have my entire past existence rubbed out to avoid self incrimination. Doesn't seem like it should take an act of Congress. Hell, they can't even get anything right. So, it oughta be a piece of cake to get it done here. Just saying yo!

I contemplated something similar once. I PMd Prince and was told flat out, NO. Kindly, i was given the opportunity to have all my posts wiped out, as an alternative (done by someone else, even though prince said it was impossible to do).

Anywho, Prince said "if its a security issue, just change your name.".....Which totaly made sense! Because if your peers know who you are, then there is NO way someone gathering info on you would make the connection.
 
Upon further reflection, I'm glad for the decision. It's a lot like DRSE. Once you're in, you're in for life. This place is too much fun anyhoo. I just gotta watch my behaviour around these parts. I've been doing okay, giving up the gears and gilfs. So, it's all good now. I'd miss you cats too much if I left; maybe even as much as I'd be missed. lol

From a purely geeky point of view, I would like to know Prince's reason for saying it is a security issue. I can understand why it might be a "pain in the ass" issue. He probably doesn't want to go fucking with his mysql database every time someone gets sand in their vagina. "Screw you guys, delete my profile forever, boohoo." But I digress, seriously, what is the security problem with running some SQL delete queries against your database?

Its not impossible, it takes a couple of clicks via the vBulletin Admin CP, I just refuse to do it and I really don't have to justify why.

No need to get pissy. I was just curious from a tech standpoint. I figured it was simply because you did not want to waste your time, and I agree with that.
 
People ask me this quite frequently, as far as I am concerned what you post online is in ink, there is not the same anonymity that there used to be online, so think before you post something online that you might regret later. :)
