I think I may need a week off... tell me what you think.
About four weeks ago, I got up my best bench ever... probably one of the best workouts of my life. Since then, every week I can handle less than the previous week... At first I though I was just having a bad day, but this is the fourth time. I even had a hard time finishing my warm-up set today!!
-> Also, dips seem to be harder now.
It only seems to be affecting my chest workouts... as far as I can tell, everything else seems to be going along.
I only work each muscle group 1x a week, and do 12 sets for chest. I sleep at least 7.5-8.0 hours/night. I think I'm getting plenty of rest!!
It's been about 14 weeks since I last took off a week (had to for injury), but I have been reading that taking a week off every 8-12 weeks is a good idea anyway, but always feared the consequences of taking a week off!?!
