Hi Guys

I think ive mentioned this before, when I train to a tempo like 3/0/X or something alike I get really sore hands.

The pain is pretty bad but i can train though it but I dont want to incase ill be doing long term damage.

Anyone got any advice or have ever came across this before ?

What kind of pain? Muscle? Bone? Joints? Is it like a sharp pain or an ache? Need more info ...

Down as in towards the palm of the hand I presume. If it's a joint pain is it just in the hands and not in the other joints like your toes or your knees. Nothing in the elbows and so on? If so then it's just related to how you lift ... obviously. Changing how you lift would seem to be the answer, thus DOMS suggestion about the gloves. Also straps might help ...

When we lift we hold the weight with our muscles. Though our muscles are suspended by our frame, our joints are not supposed to be the main player behind the energy. With less of the weight sustained by the muscles and more of the weight on the joints then you will get sore or even damaged joints. A perfect example is a torn rc. You support all that weight in a cable pull down with the shoulder muscles. If you over load the muscles and throw that weight into your rc's they will tear damn near every time.

Switch up how you lift by losing the gloves and/or trying straps. If you already use straps then try different ones or adjust the ones you have.
