strange split ive been thinking of starting.

I was wondering what your guy's thoughts on a full body, low weight high rep day thrown into the mix of a 3 day heavy/low rep split? Something like this. I was thinking it would help my gains a bit.

Heres what I was thinking:

day 1 - chest/tri

day 2 off

day 3 back/bi

day 4 off

day 5 Legs/Shoulders

Day 6 off

Day 7 Full body

Day 8 off

Day 9 start day 1 again .... etc etc

Off days are usually am cardio, rotating between HIIT and moderate pace longer distance running.

I use to do one like this:

day1- lower
day2- upper push
day3- upper pull
day4-off
day5- off or cardio
day6- total body (sometimes a HIT day and sometimes not)
day7- off
day8- either cardio and then start over on day 1 or if rested enough start with day 1.
 
Pat how did that work for you. Did you make ant gains using that program

It worked well. Actually I loved it. After this olympic training when I go to strongman training I will train like that except total body day would be even lifting instead.

Ofcourse I made gains on it....I make gains on all my programs. :p
 
ya, thats a nice program. very closely resembles mine.
