I have just had a conversation with the guy I know. He told me about his new boss, and I just want to discuss this. Is it normal when your boss is a great bully and a petty tyrant, making your life unbearable with his picking on you, being always unsatisfied with any result you have. But you treasure your job so much that leaving is not an option. What to do? Keep it low or have an open confrontation?

It's hard to imagine how you can treasure a job with a tyrant boss; how often do you have to deal with the boss? I haven't had a boss in more than 40 years, so maybe I'm not one to give advise. I have employees and I treat them as I would want to be treated; if you have a boss that belittles you or bully's you I say find another job. Life is too short to waste it on an asshole boss. There are so many jobs available now, it's hard to imagine not being able to find a good one.

Exactly what I have told my friend. What can the job be worth of if he’s not leaving.
