No, Dinosaurs definitely roamed the land. The amount of time is just a WAG though. (wild ass guess).
Do you know how they calculate 150 million years ?
First, they find some bones in the ground. Then they try to calculate the age of rocks around the bones. How do you do that.
This is the problem.
ON old stuff, they use radiometric dating. They look at a material in the rock that breaks down into another compound. Like uranium 235 turns into something like uranium 232 and lead. the problem is they have to guess what was in there in the first place.
In laymen's terms, You find a glass of water in the parking lot that is half full. If you know that it evaporates at the rate of 1/2 inch per day, how long has it been sitting there ? If you assume it was full when it started, you get one answer. If it was only 60% full at the beginning you get a different answer. If it rained you a totally different answer. Now they take all three answers and throw out the ones that do not fit with the theory of evolution.
they have dated lava rocks at the bottom of the Colorado river to be only 5 milion years old. But they have dated rocks at the top of the valley to be 100 million years old. In Hawaii, they have dated recent lava flows (2 months easrlier) to be 175 million years old. How you say, because of the assumptions that are made as to what was in the lava. Like the glass of water, If it started out half full, it would have just been place there. But if you assumed it had been full to start with, then you might have guessed a week or two.
so don't always believe what you hear.
Check it out a little more.
Gotta go workout
with my boy.
good night.
