Been reading up and slowly getting back to lifting after a 20 year layoff. Got the garage full of heavy duty equipment. Before I even get to my first calf workout I tear a calf muscle walking down the sidewalk. Never tore a muscle before. This can't be a good sign. I hope this is not what they mean by getting old.

that sucks about the injury dgl...hang in there !

Uhh, can you say Murphy's law??? Sorry to hear about the injury, but you can still train the upper body. Just the bright side.

I agree you should have no problem training your upper body, but it still sucks to have an injury like that. good luck.

Shyt man...I feel for ya..I`ve had a set back or two myself this year.

You have to make a better story than that though  A lifter doesn`t tear a muscle walking down the road....you`ve gotta say you were doing 2000lb calf raises or something :D ;)

ouch .... take it easy on that leg. I too tore a calf muscle.... I know what you're feel'in
as noted, you can still work the upper half.

So your around 40ish?? Man that does suck but keep it up, start slow and build yourself up and DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!

I've made excuses for 20 years. I'm finally out. This healing faster than I expected. My calf muscles have always been one of my strongest parts so they can stand a few weeks off. Thanks for the support everyone.
