I love some of the YouTube comments. It's shit like, "Is the car really worth more than the life of the man?" They're saying the owner of the car shouldn't have defended himself. The carjacker pointed a gun at the owner. He's the one that decided the car was worth more than the life of the owner. What the owner did was state, via a few bullets, that his life was worth more than the carjacker's. Which it is.

Poverty is an excuse in this country. Stealing food, maybe, but stealing a car because he wants one or money to buy some other big ticket item? Bullshit. I'm glad he's dead.

looked a bit staged to me. as soon as the car owner sad down, his hand was out the window. why? when you sit down in a car you're looking forward.. hes firing in 2 second... those guys didnt show up till he was in the car. he didnt see them coming..then in 1-2-3 seconds, he's shooting.. loaded gun right there on the passengers seat or on his counsel? seems like it take a sec to switch off the safety lock.. just seemed way too fast for my belief..

Part of it is being aware of your surroundings. Also not every gun has a safety to click off. My carry gun doesn't have one. Also there are myriad ways to have a pistol mounted in your car to grab it in an instant and light up the lowlife trying to violate you.

Some of us are just paranoid. At one apartment I lived in my roommate and I strategically placed our firearms so that no matter where we stood in the apartment there was a gun within reach (no kids around so safety was not an issue).

Unfortunately we have "gun free zones" which only the law abiding follow. Like myself. Just got back from seeing the new Star Trek movie. It's good, by the way. Since entertainment venues that seat 2500 or more are "gun free zones" I had to go unarmed. I would have been carrying at the theater were it legal. "Gun free zones" simply make a defenseless victim shooting gallery for anyone who wants to kill.
