Sometimes im busy doin stuuf around the house and I sorta graft my workouts and chores in togeather at the same time. If im doin 4 sets of 6 for instance, I might have 10mins between sets. Is this too much time between sets to benifit? What the maximum amount of time one can take between sets without loss of benifit? Is it harmfull to do two groups of the same muscle, once in the morning and then again in the evening? My only supplements other than normal diet are 100% whey protien and amino acids.

Never train the same bodypart twice in the same day...and never take 10 minutes rest between sets...IMO...never take more than 2-3 minutes rest...there are exceptions but mostly for powerlifting.

Depending on your goal...i.e. if weight loss is your goal I would suggest 30-60 seconds between sets to keep the heart rate up....30 seconds for small muscles such as arms and 60 seconds for larger muscles such as the lats and quads.

Thanks ill take the advice and make sure to keep the intervals to a minimum. For muscle building the idea is to wear my muscles out in a relitivly short period of time ..correct?

If you're trying to add size keep the rests relatively short but not so short that you have no strength. Many people think you need more rest between sets to add muscle but the opposite is actually true. In most cases increased rest time is used when your main concern is adding strength...of course there is also a relationship between strength increases and increases in muscle size.

One thing I have discovered....everyone is different so experiment with different rest periods to see what works best for you.
