Hi

Just a quicky.

I am going to go to the gym after work. My first body part will be chest.

Should I do biceps or triceps after chest?.

Thanks

James

You can do either. At some times of the year I will combine chest and bis, and at other times, chest and tris...still at other times its chest and delts!

Won't you more then likely do both? Since most bi lifts are compounds with your tri's or shoulders?

I did a good chest workout followed by bicepts.

I could not do much on my bicepts, but they do feel good :-)

Thanks for the tips

Biceps lifts (curls) are not compound exercises at all, unless you are doing chins or rows for biceps, in which the posterior delts and lats become involved.

I meant aren't most, didn't know he was just planning on doing curls.

Well, when most talk about training biceps they are referring to doing curls in different forms. Normally one with only speak of chinning or rows in relation to back training.

It doesn't sound like you plan your workouts. I'm sure some of the more experienced bodybuilders decide what to work when they get to the gym, but you don't sound that experience (based on your question).

Plan your workouts in advance (I plan mine a week at a time). Make sure to keep a log of what you've done so that you know where to you need to go. Try to change up on the exercises you do (both type and order).

Good luck!

i am currently doing chest and bi's and my tri's with my back

I'd swap the bi's and tri's but thats just a personal preference (chest n tri's) (back n bi's) I just feel combining them like that hits the bi's and tri's a bit more thoroughly, but you got to be carefull of overtraining though. Just my opinion;)
