I was hoping someone here might be able to help me with this. I am currently in my second week of UD2.0 The first week went reasonably well, but i have a lot of tweaking to do to get it right. I know the parts i let myself down on and am fixing them now.

The one thing that messes me up is the first two workouts. I generally get through about 3/4ers of the workout before i run out of time. Is it possible to do the remaining sets later that day? Right now my time is a bit sparce so splitting it up into two workouts on Monday, and two on Tuesday would help out tremendously.

In my mind I'm thinking this would be ok, because it's all about muscle depletion and i wouldn't think it would matter if you did 1 workout or 2 for the day, as long as you did the required amount of reps, and sets.

Am i right in this thinking? Or is there a big benefit in doing them all in one sitting?

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks!

I'll take it that your workout time period is fixed due to outside influences and not some arbitrary '60 Minute Rule'.

Off the top of my head, I'd think the primary advantage to doing the entire routine in one sitting is that you only have to make 1 trip to the gym.

I don't see the harm in breaking it into 2 training periods, but when all is said and done, I couldn't imagine your results would be significantly different if the only variation from what is prescribed by Lyle is that you'd only do 3/4 of the Monday and Tuesday routine.

I'm only able to work out for 60 minute blocks because i am working so much at the moment. I get maybe an hour or so twice or three times a day spare and if i can break it up into those i can continue doing the UD.

Unfortunately I am working the hours the gyms are open, so i don't get much choice, but if i can split it, this will be fine.

I tried it yesterday and broke it up into two parts. The first week i did it i nearly vomited and felt really light headed, but breaking it up into two stopped that to a certain degree. I still felt light headed but i didn't feel like throwing up.

Hopefully this doesn't have a detrimental affect to anything!!

You're fine. I actually think this way could work better.

It certainly felt better! I have the luxury of having blocks off at work, but it's not all in one lot, and i don't finish until very late most nights.

Thanks everyone! One week down and I'm struggling through the beginning of the next!
