I have been almost avoiding reading anything about the horrific abortionist Kermit Gosnell. I have recently had a baby so I'm sort of emotionally compromised. And I have always been a pro choice advocate and I know that stories like this test my perspective.
Read this article I really like the thought process even though her stance is not the same as mine I see her point.

I have to say I used to be flexible in my views. my girl had an abortion when I was 17... I regret it. Then when my foound out that my second son was on the way I wasnt too excited and threw out the big A idea. She shot me down (thank god) he is the most amazing child I have ever been around and since the moment he was born I have seen the err in my ways and have changed my stance. Thats the nice thing about age and wisdom you can see where you went wrong in the past.

There is a big difference between theoretical and pratical knowledge. I always thought Hunting and killing was awesome untill I had my first prey in my scope then the moral issue of pulling the trigger or not kicked in, I did it. But then I had to finish the job with a knife. I decided then I dont really like hunting. I know both sides and if I had to survive I would do it but not for fun.

Yes your reactions were the same as mine. And I don't think any non psychotic person can't not be not morally offended by the mans actions and the details around the abortions/killings are as gruesome as the abortions themselves.
But I think when you look through the lenses of a prolifer. This thing changes. Throw out the side details like the women dying or the poor conditions and poorly trained staff and the under the cover of night angles. Think about the abortion itself; what's really the difference between inserting a instrument and killing a fetus at 23 weeks and pulling the fetus out and killing it at 25 weeks??? 13 weeks and two weeks. Ones abortion and ones infanticide; doesn't seem that different to me. This story is kind of making me feel bad for being a pro choice advocate for all these years.

But, Jimmy, i agree, the only difference is the baby is outside the womb breathing instead of inside the womb breathing. One way law calls it murder, the other way they call it legal abortion. There is not a difference in my book, only ones perception of when life starts. Life starts before birth, way before birth. 24 weeks and some baby's can breath 100% on their own outside the womb. Life begins way before that. I have compassion for these little one and the mothers that get duped into believing abortion is a better choice. It isn't. Planned parent hood is gov funded to the tune of 500billion per yr. and they kill 300,000 babies in America every year. This dude clipped the necks or spines of the babies after birth with scissors if they were alive, wow man that is truly an evil MFer.

Abortion is an evil and disgusting practice. Women do have the right to chose, and outside of rape, she made her choice to potentially conceive a child when she spread her legs and fucked.

this whole debate changes when you hold your child in your arms and see the potential. I was holding my son last night just hoping he has the chance to do something he loves. he is so defenseless and needs me. the though of hurting him or any child like him is just not right. I didn't get this until recently.

the main problem with the pro-lifers is that the majority of them are also against social safety nets that assist those same single mothers.

well you can't have it both ways. you can't tell the girl that it's wrong to abort the child then when she does have it you stigmatize her and that same "society" provides inadequate support for that same child so they can grow to be highly productive later in life.

it's the epitome of hypocrisy.
