How can I improve the strength in my grip? When I deadlift or do curls with heavy bb my left hand get to the point where it hurts to hold the bb. Is there anything you recommend to improve my grip strength?

Pinched nerves and disk herniation often occur from compression and bad alignment right? If one were to do pull ups (which also, like deads, requires constant use of finger flexors statically to hang on to bar) this would not only take the weight off the spine, but the weight would actually pull the spine apart a bit. I wonder if this could help relieve some of the pressure on the nerves and help the inter-vertebral disks absorb healthy fluids.
It seems cheaper to just get some ab straps and leg gravity do it, maybe do some ab work to pass the time:
