What is the best DIY method of attaching plates to my body for pull ups and dips? I work out at the gym. I've only seen guys hold plates in legs. Is this feasible? Thanks

Hip belt works well.
I've heard of people throwing the plates into a backpack as well

i use a belt. i just put a dumbbell on it and do dips or w/e

Yup, thats what i do. Works liek a charm.

What i will advise though, is get some sort of padding for the straps or it can cause some serious bruising.

I just hold a dumbbell with my feet. I set it so that the handle is running perpendicular to my body, and one end of the dumbbell sits on top of my feet while the other one is right behind my ankles. That way when I get into position I just curl my legs up and it rests there nicely.

you can try doing the pull ups in a 90/90 position (90 degrees of hip extension/90 degrees of knee flexion) and then progress to L-sit pull ups. those are tough variations, without adding weight, because they extend the external moment arm.

I love L pullups. Those rule.
