Ohhh yea, and Vinyl is still out there too, alot of underground artists still put out vinyl LPs, and they are sold on that website I gave you....among other places...


edit: Now days they call them 12" not sure if they did back in the day, but they are called 12s, because a record is 12 inches

believe it or not I seen some Atmosphere and Aesop Rock vinyl at Best Buy, was a trip...:laugh: :laugh:

Good shit. You'd probably be happy to know that type of thing still goes on. Every house party I go to usually revolves around MC's battling, occasional live DJ but always classic and new hip hop blaring. Just tryina be about havin a good time.

They very much are...they actually had a few tracks recently surface of them making fun of G Unit and 50 Cent....

are you into foreign hip hop? There are alot of good artists that arent from the U.S.

like Loop Troop, Roots Manuva and Super Sayain Crew...among others, Im not sure all of their names, mostly because I dont even know how to pronounce them lol, I dont have a clue what they are saying either :) but the beats and production are good

Rap glorifies selling drugs, smoking pot, spending money on expensive junk.
I see the way kids act in the city I live in. They act like they are tuff and stare at you. They wear clothes that 3x to big for them. Most of them have bad manners. They are rude. To answer your rock reference. I think in a whole school you may see 5 kids wearing blacked out make up. Most of them are just quiet and looking to stand out in some way.

Damn. I've listened to rock forever now too and I must say that Heavy metal, a lot of alternative and many other genres can promote the same shit while being 10x more sick and twisted. But I know that it does now kill our youth. That's so overboard. You need to expand what you listen to and not label a whole genre and sub genre of music because of a few bad apples. And IMO it's not music that does that type of shit to those kids. It's social factors all contributing.

It's not the music, it's not the movies, it's not the games. None of these can make anyone commit a violent act.

The problem isn't the media, it's the person. If someone listened to a song and then killed someone, the person had a problem long before he ever listened the music.

That's not to say that sort of music is alright, but it certainly isn't the cause.


Personally, I like Dennis Leary's advice on this topic:

I dont have anything against him, and am not going to say he is talentless, but I dont like his music...

There are alot better out there...

I think most people's beef with him is because he gets credit for being one of the best freestyle rappers out there, and he just isnt THAT good....

I dont think he has ever won a freestyle battle outside of Detroit, which is because he gets a home town welcome there and as long as he doesnt choke he will more than likely win the crowd over...
 
I hate rap, i also hate r & b after the 1960's. Music like Beyonce, usher, r.kelly, makes me want to rip the fucking radio out of my because it's no use turning it you'll hear it on every fucking station. Even country is getting ruined my hip-hop.

That little Ironmagazine.com boy band is called Westlife - a group of Irish young men who apparently have hit the top of the charts with the teenies at least a dozen times.

The clip with Miss Ross is from a song they released just before Christmas last year - which apparently hit No. 2 on the British charts. It's a remake of a former big hit in the U.K. of Miss Ross' (about ten years ago) and they recruited her to make the music video with them. Kinda shocking to see her still doing the glamour thang at 61.

Now I can't make out which one is most like Big Dyl. . .:D but I figured you didn't mind being center stage.
 
I think blaming music for the actions of teenagers is total BS. I listen to rap myself (not the distasteful things for the most part), and I definitely don't act 'ghetto' or like a 'hoodlum' of any kind, I assure you. Most people don't know that I listen to it. And that's fine. It doesn't have to affect you at all. It's like blaming video games for violence. It takes a very disturbed person to kill someone; no video game is going to change this. People need to get a grip on reality: Parents today usually don't know anything about proper parenting. That's why today's kids are the way they are. Obviously there are exceptions, but that's a high, high majority of where they come from.
