My top picks are:

Mark Henry
Batista
The Warlord
The Barbarian
Hercules
Ultimate Warrior
Batista

The ones listed could have done it in their prime. Can any of you name a few more?

I don't think they could compete at all...they are strong yes but in a different way.

They would most likely not have trained in a strongman style of training and hence they would not be adapted to strongman lifts.

I am not experienced with strongman training so maybe another member could enlighten us.

i believe mark henry won the arnold classic twice or sumthing along those lines, not exactly sure but he won something?

oh and batista was a prof BB before he started wrestling, wich is why he is such good shape

Mark Henry is the only wrestler that could compete in strongman events.

Not many at all as my guess.

ya bigshow could probably do it, he's over 7ft and 500+, not sure if he has the endurance or the hart for it tho

Big Show is actually about 6'9", and 450lbs.

WSM is worldstrongman not bodybuilding

I heard that Batista possessed strength proportional to his appearance

 7 ft...watched his match last night :p

WTF happened to Shawn Michaels...he was screwed in that match against Carlito and idiot boy
:finger:

wasn't Mark Henry like one of the first guys to clean and press the Inch? I believe he was some kind of strength athlete, but then switched to wrestling as there is definitely more money in it.

Other than that, i don't think any of them actually. I know Goldberg was/is strong, heard his bench was supposed to be insane like 500+ or something. but gym strength doestn' necessarily mean you'll be good at strongman. the lifts take technique, and events like the yoke and farmers walk take endurance but most of all you need to give it 110%. i've seen those guys pull off lifts that never in a million years i would think they would complete, but somehow they push through and get it. Strongman is the ultimate test of strength, it tests all forms of strength and is really grueling and painful, i can't wait to get some implements already.

as an example of the dedication those guys have, Svend Karlsson (sp?) competed in the 2004 WSM with a partially torn quad. he didn't do well at all, and couldn't complete some events but what i remember from that WSM was the 900lb fridge carry (they're version of a Yoke). the guy was barely moving but finished the event nonetheless with a partially torn quad!! that takes heart, caue you could see the pain and limp everytime he stepped on that leg, really inspiring.

All of them - :funny:

Mark Henry was not only a champion powerlifter. he also represtented the US in the 1998 olympic games in weightlifting. At the age of 9 he was already 220lbs. A true genetic freak.

at nine years old he was 220lbs???

Would be mostly fat but still...that's remarkable.

Got any pictures of Mark Henry?

I would like to learn more about this dude
