Ok some people say only to work out a hour no more then that. My daily work out takes 90 min thats if I do cardio and abs. If not 60 min without Cardio. What's your time ?

depends on it I am trying to bulk or trying to cut fat. If I am trying to put on muscle then my workout time is roughly 90 minutes. If I am trying to burn bF then I usually go 45 minutes. All sets 1 min rest in between. 1 minute rest between workouts. Its hell, you cant lift as heavy, but its a cardio like no other!!!!!

bulking no more then 60min. Cutting around 90min since i'll do cardio + abs. Add in 15-20min if theirs any hot girls to chat up Lol

Are you geared? Gear offsets the cortisol and keeps you in an anabolic state. so train away!

I train upwards of 2 hrs a day.

I try to keep it to an hour or less. Minimal rest with high intensity.

by myself usually 60-75min... when i have a partner though it's upwards of 90-120min. Agree with SFW tho... if your geared then grab some aminos and train till you drop

45min or less with a 4day split.

If i add abs then i "might" get close to 60min.

So 40-60min tops. Don't see how in the world it could take any longer. Don't over train...

i use to work out for 2-3 hours strolling around jerking off.

now its about a hour hour and 15 mins max.
i go from exercise to exercise without much rest. .
depends on mainly what im doing tho.

One hour for me- but I seperate my cardio as I do at least one hour each and every day for cardio alone . Plus I will also do HIIT- but my training is much different due to my age. I think as you get older the cardio must be much higher

Overtraining is a big misconception in bodybuilding. Athletes who truly experience overtraining train several times per day with inadequate diet sleep etc... Smashing weights for a couple hours per day will not elicit overtraining in most unless ur not eating or sleeping enough

i used to lift for near 2 hours each time i was at the gym. without cardio. now it's always under and hour. whether it's one or two body parts that day and it always includes abs. i lift both heavy and light. always get my sets in. it's just i notice i've done 3 sets while everyone around me has done 1.

my personal experience.... I've gained a lot more muscle mass with short 40-60min workout rather than the 2hour workout i used to do. It was like i broke a plateau when i switched to short workouts and since then i have been gaining quite steadily. Plus my body doesn't feel like complete hell anymore. Im positive the 2hr workouts were over training myself.

Yeah I'm not advocating long workouts neccessarily, but the notion that if you train for more than an hour per day you'll over train, is false. Other factors were involved

yeah back when i would lift for 2 hours, i don't think i was overtraining. in fact, i think i was undertraining. i got a ton of sets in that day and even that week for a single bodypart, but i was taking wayyy to much time to do it i think. too much time between sets, and between exercises. doing that when you're in your early and mid twenties i don't think was over doing it. i was ass quickly now. even when lifting heavy. i'm sweating and out of breath and can't lift hardly any weight by the end of the hour. and my 32yr old self would kick my 22yr selves ass into the ground!!

I wrestle for bout 20 min usually to warm up an get my cardio in then I like to hit the weights for bout 2 hrs. That is with a partner though. I like the fact that my gym has those options avaliable wrestling mats, heavy bags, and a boxing ring.

For me - it varies based on INTENSITY. :lifter:

My most productive workouts are about 30 minutes using weights that are close to my max - using a "rest-pause" technique by Mike Mentzer - also used by Dorian Yates.

Mikes theory is anything more than one set to COMPLETE failure is over training or un productive.

Here you use one or two light warm up sets the - one all balls out "head-exploding" set to failure. :thumb:

The only thing with this type of workout - is it's extremely hard on your system -it almost shuts me down the next day - and have thrown up during several leg workouts.

I'll do these for several weeks then - go into a more traditional type of workout - still, everything is pushed to failure - this can last 45-60 minutes.

If anyone isn't familiar with the "rest-pause" technique - here's what you do...

Take a weight you can lift 2-3 times and force out 10 + reps by pausing for several seconds between reps. :shake:

Although be careful as they are not for the beginner - I've even went into convulsions for about 15 seconds doing this with dead lifts. :nut:

Let's not forget how much Z's products turns up the intensity of the results ... "BIG TIME! :D

About 2 hours @ night around 7:30 I start.

I ice my muscles so I can work out longer at home.

I got a pretty hard day job with lots of cardio.

Plus I keep a curling bar in the shop.

My work outs usually last 90 mins. But, really what is the definition of over training ?
My rest are all between 45 secs and 1 min.

2 hrs a day but 2 body parts 3 days a week sometimes add in a sat , cardio on off days if im not at the beach or on my bicycle you guys doing the 1 body part 5 days a week ?

Major muscles like chest, back, shoulders, legs.an even arms once a week . So yhea 5 days then a few negatives for chest on sat with a mix of different smaller muscles calves an so forth.
