Ralph, my neighbor, is a "lefty" of sorts (Obama bumper stickers,
gung-ho socialized medicine, "guns should be banned", etc.).
So last week I put this sign up in my yard after one of his anti-gun
rants at a neighborhood cocktail party. The sign wasn't up more

than an hour before he called the police and wanted them to make
me take down the sign.
Fortunately, the officer politely informed him that it was not their job to take such action without a court order and that he had to file a complaint "downtown" first, which would be reviewed by the city attorney to see if it violated any city, county, or state ordinances, which if there were a violation, a court order would be sent to the offending party (me) to "remove the sign in seven days".

After several weeks he was informed that the sign was legal (by a

quarter of an inch) and there was nothing the city could do, which
obviously made him madder. I tried to smooth things over
by inviting him to go shooting with me and my friends at the hunt club but that seemed to make him even more angry.
I then asked him if he wanted to go to a Tea Party rally but again he declined my outreach efforts to bring about a better understanding between political and social opponents.

I am at a loss how to reconcile our long relationship (notice I did not
say (friendship), any suggestions would be welcome.

Anyway, that's life in our neck of the woods, how's about yours?

Funny, but kind of sad too...why would you call attention like that to a neighbor just because you don't agree on politics....

I am mostly liberal in my views and I have no problem with us following the Constitutional rights of American's to bear arms I love guns and grew up shooting them since I was 8 years old, I had one on my bedroom closet from the time I was 12....this sounds like just black and white politics where everyone is either on the right or left, no smorgasbord to pick and choose from....

Haha damn that's kinda fucked up. I like guns, I've owned an AR-15 AK-47 and pistol grip pump shotgun, north carolina laws are the shit. I liked the shotgun cause you can get some crazy rounds for a 12 gauge. Dragons breath is a pretty cool one. I also liked the Cayenne pepper rounds but I never shot that one off, was too scared it would fuck me up too.

That's awesome! :clapping:

It's almost always some duchebag liberal that's standing on a podium, flanked by armed guards, tell the people that they don't need guns.

A big FUCK YOU to the anti-gun crowd.

there's a balance like anything, i can tell you that i don't want some drunken idiot in a bar packing a gun, and i can tell you i don't want a troubled 18 yr old kid able to buy a fully automatic weapon that he can walk into a school with. And really, all this "you should punch him in the face" crap, what is everyone 13 yrs old again

When I was 18 I bought an AR-15 and this lady who was with her husband buying a shot gun got an attitude and asked me if what the hell do I need that for and I told her kids in high school are rough these days and the store owner just laughed.

Easy relationship. Fuck him..he's a liberal. You shouldnt care about him. Just go about your business like he doesnt exist

It's not legal to drink alcohol and carry so that's not an issue anymore than it was before. Also keep in mind that what you (or anyone else)want is not the most important factor.

The fucked up liberal logic that morons like Diana Finestein use is just ridiculous.

She wants to ban all guns, but has a CCW permit and carries a .38 in her purse. :wtf:

What it comes down to, is some animals are more equal than others.

Fuck these liberal douches. Because the 2nd Amendment doesn't say anything about "Assault Weapons". It says "shall not be infringed" you bastards!

you are allowed to conceal a weapon in a bar in ohio, and don't tell me people who are in a bar aren't gonna drink because they have a gun on them.my nephew is doing life for a 30 second descission, someone "dissrespected him, so he shot him in the face, that could easily have benn you or me

The difference between your nephew and, I'd have imagine, just about everyone here is that your nephew is an idiot and deserves to be in jail.

The booze and gun did nothing wrong. It was your nephew that decided to bring a gun to a drinking session and the one to pull it out and use it over something stupid.

Yeah, when a drunk driver runs someone down, it's definitely the car's fault.

So legislation could stop people from bringing guns into bars but not from drinking while carrying? Why would someone respect one law and not the other? More importantly, it's our constitutional right not some safety issue to be resolved by the sway of public opinion.

Your nephew is an idiot. The government isn't able to legislate common sense into idiots like that. We can't give up our rights for a few bad apples. Besides, it's now at the owner's discretion; if you want, go to a bar that doesn't allow guns.

Impact of guns in bars law nearly one year later

i will not argue that he deserves to be in jail, the fact is there is need to have guns where drunk people are, everyone suffers some die instantly, some die behind bars over a 30 year span. When people drive drunk and kill someone there is a an acceptable excuse like "I didn't mean it", maybe they should do life also for the one THEY took. He didn't want to take a beating by a jealous ex boyfreind so he stuck the gun in his face to back out the door, but when he looked over his shoulder the gun went off.He didn't intend to kill anyone, just as someone who leaves a bar driving drunk"didn't mean to" but he'll pay the rest of his life, he's a 21 yr old kid, so don't call someone an "idiot" that you know NOTHING about. I have guns of my own and they have there place, but not around drunken people.

so many people hide behind "constitutional right" as if that makes something right , like when they bsay i'll burn this flag in the middle of town square because "it's my costitutional right"people do stupid things when they're drunk. Just like it is illegal in ohio to have an opened alcoholic beverage in a car,you shouldn't have a gun in a bar, neither one is bad, but for the safety of the MAJORITY, they should be seperated.

Both drunk drivers and people that take guns to bars are idiots. I don't give a rat's ass how you choose to spin it. Both involve going to a place that serves a substance that will impair judgement, and then using a piece of equipment that can kill very easily.

And using the word "idiot" is being nice. Fucking assholes would be more appropriate.

our society in the US has become very sick. adults act like children then get praised when they actually act their age, it's pathetic. but look at the examples that are set on TV which raise most of the youth in this country because the parents are too busy working to raise their children properly.

Awesome post with the picture, OP. Gun rights hits home with me and can't stand the twats that are blind to reality. Reps in order x2.

what exactly is dragon's breath?

It's white phosphorus I think. And no it's not legal most places lol.

It is a flaming Shot gun shell that you fire in a regular shotgun. Instead of lead shot is has pyrotechic powders that ignite like in the You tube video above. that are made for "show" really. not really a practical round.
