You must try out good ol Burpees

If you find yourself lost and confused with your strength and conditioning work, I have one exercise that will crank up the intensity, and won't cost you a dollar.

A few minutes of Burpee conditioning will quickly convince you that your own natural bodyweight provides plenty of resistance for an ass-kicking workout that blasts your stamina and fat loss through the roof!!

This exercise will develop strength, explosive power, and anaerobic endurance.

Add A Pushup To The Burpee

This ???variation??? is the ONLY way that I perform Burpees.

To perform a Burpee with a pushup, you will begin in a squat position with hands on the floor in front of you (1). Kick your feet back, while simultaneously lowering yourself into the bottom portion of a pushup. Your arms will not be extended. (2). Immediately return your feet to the squat position, while simultaneously pushing ???up??? with your arms. You will perform a pushup as you return your feet to the squat position (3). Leap up as high as possible from the squat position (4). Repeat, moving as fast as possible

squat thrusts adn squat thrust pushups are great exercises. But they wont do much for you in the way of increasing muscle mass. You will quickly accomodate to using your BW and would need some resistance. They are great for endurance work though. I make clients do them sometimes.
 
this guy is getting on my nerves, perhaps the next johny??? am i the first one to think of this, sorry havnt looked at threads for a while....but he is really geting on my nerves, and im sure that im not the only one who thinks this is some form of "johnny".......what a smartass
 
when Ali did the "i am the greatest" thing everyone loved it. maybe it's just this guys way of being funny. i don't see what the harm is. n did any one else think he was talking about planting a garden? burpee seed catalog? :hmmm: :) nevermind.

your one dumb foolish boy aren't you - these are staples in the military and combat world - and not just burpees...bodyweight exercises are extremely effective i can tell by responses is that closest these people have come to kick ass conditioning and anaerobic workout is washing their hair. :laugh:

the only BW exercise i do is wide grip chinups, burpees are classified as a warmup to most of us.... and those are on the days we want to look like a retard infront of everybody in our gym

you really sound kinda full of your self m8, and a bit ignorant, i did burpees when i was a kid and yeah endurence their fine but for a body building workout for me they would burn of extra calories that i would rather put on, just stretch properly before a workout, thats all you need
