My CREATION, what do you think?

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
Dont drop the weight and dont try to lift what you cant hoist from the floor.

Spotters and racks make for weak dumbell skillz

I'am not working any body parts by pulling weights off the floor right
(of course not) and not working anything by sitting up with them, i'am working
my chest not arms or back. If i can't take 120lb dumbbells off the floor or
sit back up with them your saying i should't do that much weight? BULLSHIT.
I like my dumbbells heavy and instead of wasting all that energy all i
have to do now is take them out of a rack. Call me pussy I think not...........

I have to disagree, when I used to use 100lb+ dumbbells and I get on the 8th rep at failure it's a bit difficult to slowly lower it to the floor, this has nothing to do with my ability to handle the dumbbell in regards to either the amount of weight or my skills, it's simply a matter of complete muscle fatigue, same is true with a spotter, they are there to help you get a forced rep and/or help you get the weight back to the bar or floor after a set rather than dropping it on your chest, head or the floor.

Bump Prince.

Get a better web designer. You also have a few grammatical errors on there.

if your doing it for that reason good. But, next time be more specific in your critique especially when something like that is your first post in a thread...it comes off negatively...that sounded like some kid coming on here and trying to be a smart ass by correctin someone just because something was misspelled...and noth pisses me off more than the old childish act of saying you need an english teacher. If giving a legit critique is what you are doing more power to ya.

Can't we all just get along lol.
I thank you guys for your feedback and Happy Easter to those who
celabrate it. Peace !

Once you start getting "really strong" (I'll leave that open for interpretation) something like this would really aid in safety in the gym. As we get older those long term injuries stick around, and throwing around 100+ pound dumbells like they were donut boxes when you are fatigued sometimes really costs ya.

Nice idea, kudos!

I never seen anyone drop a dumbbell on there chest or hip, maybe
your doing the excerise wrong bro...............

I was doing incline press and my spotter walked away from me. I didn't know who this guy was, just another gym goer. On my last rep I was almost locked and he helped a little bit but then just let go. These were 80lbs DB's. One came down hitting my chest, just missing my face. The other I pushed out a little and then came down and hit my hip. I couldn't just let them go because there were people to my right and left. I definitely wasn't doing the exersice wrong. At least as far as I know...

Sounds like you did everything right, dumb ass of a spotter i guess it would't
have mattered if there was a rack there or not.
If i'am by myself i try to no if i have 1 more rep in me, i have gotten stuck
also with the weights. You made a good point about people next to you and droping dumbbells, they bounce and could have hit someone.

Very true Mudge's I'am 45 yrs old but in great shape and the
body dosen't react like when i was 21

As I start to think about this, it might be a pretty good idea. It's the same idea as the barbell bench press. I mean, do you really want to lift up 300+ (in my case 200+) pounds off the ground everytime? You're right, it does exude a lot more energy to bring the weights up, in which that energy could have been more or two more reps. So good for you... I hope that this rack of your makes it to more and more gyms out there! I'll keep a look out here in Northern VA.

A little comment on your site, as I use to create websites for various units and commands within the Marine Corps, it's not bad for what you want right now. I didn't see any grammatical errors so I'm not sure what that one guy was saying. If you would like any type of suggestions as to what you might be able to do to make it a little bit more eye catching just shoot me a pm. But whatever program you used to create it seems to be working out just fine for you. Good job bro! And again, I'll be looking for this out here.

I know that when I do DB work all the twisiting while getting the weights from the floor to my thighs to my chest and if I have to dump them really put a bunch of strain on my wrists.

Another Idea for you!!!! Why not make an adaptable system to put on regular benches? A couple little platforms that can clamp onto the upright supports of an average bench that way a gym doesn't have to make additional room for new whole DB bench systems, the patrons can just adapt the bench to their exercises. Now you have 2 approaches to offer your clients. i know I for one am working on my own adapters for my bench at home. I used to slide 2 chairs next to my bench to drop the weights on if I got stuck but making platforms to clamp to my bench would be better.

Start pitching these to gyms.. I would love to see one around here.

Get your engineer to send the print out to suppliers to get them quoted, then after you get some customers, start producing some. Start now because the production and sampling process is not quick on new prints. Also plan to spend a good deal of money on startup tooling costs.

Very created bro, i thought of designing a bench for it and soon will.
For now i made it addaptable for any bench. The bench would have to slide
if it was connected to the machine, reason being when you go from flat to inclines, when you raise the bench up you are moving away from the rack
so i kept that in mind and had to adjust to it by moving the two post forward
that way you can slide your bench in deeper so your not reaching back
for the dumbbells.
I've built around 6 machines now to get it right, it's like anything else do
it till you get it right. Thanks for your feedback bro.

Who is your target market? If it is public gyms, I would say developing an entire bench is not the way to go, if you can develop an add-on dumbbell rack to existing bench models. The reason being is that it will not only cost you much more to create and reproduce an entire bench, but you would be making it easier for a gym to tell you "no sorry, we already have enough benches," not to mention it would be far more expensive for the customer.

I would look into common bench models at your local gym (preferably chains, so maybe you can convince the local manager to buy one, then with his help, convince other chain locations to buy in as well, since they probably have the same model benches).

See, I have to disagree...

As recent as a few weeks ago I was still handling 110+ DBs.

And I can pick them up perform 12-15 rep sets, stand up with them and place them directly back on the rack.

This has to do with overall body strength IMO...

And has much more real-world use than doing a set of 3-5 with a spotter and the 150-160lb DBs...

again just my preference, as a 190lb weakling

Years ago when doing dumbell bench with 85s I hit complete failure with my left arm and I left a 3 plate mark on my chest, I am thankful it too missed my face! It can happen.

Take a look next time your in the gym and see how many guys do what
you do with dumbbells? (not many) your one of the few bro.

But I got there from years of handling 60-70-80Lb DBs and never being able to comfortably lift anything bigger...

I worked my way up to it.

I'm not saying I dont like your rack either...
I just dont know how popular it will be...

I think you need to explore placing stiffners (struts)
under the shelf-parts that hold the DBs..

That way you can open up the center portion where your hands go in.
Other than that, its a solid concept...

any proprietary intellectual property licensing you found? at least if it doesnt take off, you can keep everyone from copying your design.

Maybe it's hard to tell in the pitcher but it's open in the middle
where your hands go.

Hey that sounds familiar....:hmmm:

This is a very great idea. But I really think someone made it ahead of you. Nevertheless it is good.

I've been working on this for way over a year now, and i have patinit it.
Find me something like it and let me know.

Thee are 3 dumbbells designs with the same idea, but this is a different
design and has more fetures.

1) Dumbell Hooks
2) There is a box shape stand for dumbbells, but if you don't have the attachable bench you can't put much weight on them.
3 There's one for flat bench, but if you rasie the bench for inclines
you come away from the rack, and trust me it's very diffacult reaching back
and taking dumbbells out of a rack.

I have built severl models to get it right so you can do a complet
upper body workout, Flat, Inclines, Declines and sitting Military pess
And it will adap to any bench in the gym.

But can you say....clamp two DB platforms to the uprights of a smith machine or any one of the olympic barbell racks to transform them into your machine? Thats where you'll come out ahead. A vise-grip clamp with rubber padding to not scratch the existing framework of a stand with an adjustable angle platform so that a gym doesn't have to buy your whole framework but just the adapters themselves. also make it friendly to the PowerBlock System and marjet it to PowerBlock directly they might see the benefit and buy your idea....

maniclion let me know if this is what your talking about.
Are you talking about the dumbbell racks them self, so they
hook on to existing frame work in the gym?
I think on alot of the machines in the gym would be to wide, so you
would have to wide of a space to be coftable taking them out.
If that's what you mean that is?

Not if you put them on a swiveling arm to bring them in towards shoulder width and I know they have heavy duty hinges for that to be possible....

I see what you mean, not a bad idea and lees cost. I will build it.
