I'm not talking about the Earth's ability to do anything, I'm talking about our ability to sustain that many, where do you think the majority of those people are going to be living and which country do you think they are going to want to move to.....if we start as soon as possible to make it trendy to be gay and have abortions worldwide we could thwart the future influx of Third World menaces trying to come in and steal all of our resources......seriously over-population is going to be a huge problem within our lifetime....

I'm not sure I agree, but there's nothing I can cite to prove it either way. In the current setup, maybe we can support more life, but countries like China and India are making big pushes to join the ranks of more western countries in their standard of living. What happens when billions of additional people start trying to live the way Americans have lived for a while? I think we may run out of resources faster than we think.

the question is an economic one, not one of if the world can support it or not. right now we have famine in the world because economically we can't get the goods to the right people in the right time. distribution of resources is why we have famine.

Example of what a competent, reasonably intelligent person might say when faced with certain questions:

Q: "Who is your favorite Founding Father?"
A: "I've learned so much from all of them, but I'd have to say (insert name here), and here's why...."

Q: "What newspapers or magazines do you read?"
A: "Well, I try to scan a variety of sources, but some of my main ones are (insert names of publications)..."

Did it come anywhere close to the above? (I know her answer to the second question during the campaign was an epic fail, but then again, that's one of those "gotcha" questions the liberal elite in the media use to trap downhome regular conservative folk like Sarah)

her answer was all of them because they all were needed to come together with differing ideas to create our nation. when pinned down to one she responded with washington, because he was a true statesman and returned to mount vernon by choice

I saw Beck on The Tonight Show and he seemed like a nice guy, I would like him to portray more of his "Libertarian" side like he did then than his completely anti-Democrat side. His show is horrible, though. I think it's obvious that it's for the ratings, but ratings aren't everything when it comes to politics. I think most politician's message gets lost in all of the negativity that clouds modern politics. Our country, as a whole, would be better off when we get to a time where it is no longer "The reason I voted for X is because he wasn't Y" and back to "I voted this way because I think that is the best direction for the country, even though it may not be my vision". Goddamn I'm high.

He asked her a question that required a little thought and consideration before answering. How many people have actually taken the time to consider who their favorite founding farther is. The part that fucked her, and the part that always fucks her, is she starts talking before she thinks about what she is going to say. It is not a good quality for a person who lives on the national stage. Maybe with a little time she can teach herself to stop doing that.

It boils down to her trying too hard to not look the fool, which causes her to do exactly that.

I'm not retarded. I know Palin is an educated woman, then given the question among friends in a casual discussion, she probably would have given a great answer.

See now, I disagree. I honestly feel she is full of shit, and a drag on the republican party. I want her to go away and have kids with Joe the Plumber. The country is center right but going more left by the minute, and idiots like her are driving people in that direction. An intelligent person would never vote for her. An intelligent person may vote against Obama or her opponent, but no intelligent person would vote for her unless it was for "Best Jugs in Politics".
 
I would have went with Thomas Jefferson personally. Washington did set an important precedent by stepping down after 2 terms though.

um, we wouldn't have won the revolution without any of the founders. including the guy from pensylvania who didn't sign the declaration of independence. i agree with what palin said in that each one was necessary and it was the collective whole that came together at the right time to lead us into a new country. that level of dedication and statesmanship does not exist anymore in my opinion. like franklin said "we must all hang together, or we shall surely hang separately" our elected officials today are not willing to dedicate their lives, freedoms, and fortunes the way the founders did.

But don't you get it, no body wants to hear a patent, broad swept answer from a politician pussy-footing around questions anymore and that's all we see her do.... that's really all any of them do and well ,her, she's just not good enough at the game to fool enough of the votes populi. I'm not going to say the womans dumb, not by any stretch really, she just has the skill set of a backwoods State Guv'na bringing it to an arena where there are mayoral races that needed a heavier bag of tools than what she ever needed in Alaska. Somehow right now I feel like Hannibal Lecter taunting Clarice Starling about her back-home yonda' up bringing, but we all know it's the truth.....I'm an evil genius..:evil:

Oh no, she is full of shit, no doubt. I am just saying that she isn't as dumb as her worst interviews make her seem to be. Every reply she gives is an attempt to deflect from the fact that she doesn't have an answer already prepared, so she starts digging a hole that she can't get out of which always leads to those interview blunders.

Her interviews make her out to be as dumb as Ms South Carolina. I think she is smarter than that, but by no means is sure smart enough to be a good leader. If she wasn't hot, she never even would have been governor.

a patent pussy foot answer to a question that is really of no consequence? who cares? this guy was out for blood against palin and used a worthless question to show it. really who cares who her favorite founding father is? it's really a throw away question because it doesn't show if someone is cut out for political office or not. truthfully you can name any founding father and be correct. ask a legit question where people are going to care about the answer to if you want to be a legit political journalist. political journalist today is really an oxymoron.
