I agree with just about everything he states except for the "awakening" of the US..most are still unaware of the real problems or they are in denial. the results of the last election cycle tell us how intelligent the US people are as whole, ignorant and retarded...this is why history is allowed to repeat itself

consumer spending is still too high that is what leads me to believe that many still aren't aware of the "big picture" because if they did consumer spending would be decreasing faster and we would be seeing much higher saving rates than 5% +/-.

OPEC nations have been using the dollar less and less since for years and they are constantly talking (not in the US media) about switching to the Euro and other foreign currencies. they talk about his a lot on German, French and UK website and news media outlets.

What are they going to use?.....no way they use the Euro or Pound (even more unstable than the USD). I guess the Yen is a small option, but you have to remember that most of the OPEC nations have fixed currencies that pegged to the USD, so they can talk all they want...but it means nothing unless they unpeg their currency.

they can choose another currency or several currencies just like when they choose to use the US dollar...

remember nobody's currency is backed up by anything anymore....

SDRs or baskets are recommendable, but they aren't going to back their currency by another sole currency, b/c the USD is the best choice right...which is pathetic
