Yet another TRT question

Yep yet another question about TRT.

Basically my last bloods showed test to be just within limits for my age, although 4 weeks earlier it was well below this.

My doc just says there is nothing he can do, so Ive asked to see a specialist. This will be a wait of 3 to 4 months, NHS sucks.

My question is can I self administer 200 mg of test-e weekly either by injection or sub-lingual. Also would I have to run anything else along side the test to prevent manboobs?

At 58 kids are out of the question (well they have been all my life actually) but that's another story.

TRT dose is usually 100mg weekly I believe. I doubt u'd get any gyno from that but it doesn't hurt to have an AI on hand just in case.

VVVVV I stand corrected. Apparently some docs prescribe 200mg bi-weekly and i'm just illiterate

100 mgs is an average trt dose. I wouldnt mess with trt if you cant get regular blood work done.

I can't think of a single good reason why you SHOULDN'T begin TRT.

if you self administer test E for trt just remember to cut the test E out like 2.5 weeks in advance before blood work so you won't be denied TRT good luck.

I'm on 200mg / week with TRT. This seems to be the typical dose from what I've been reading. Also anti E.

@ 58 you can do whatever you want, 200mg test c/e per week is gonna make you feel better about being 58 if nothing else, you'll be fine

Thanks for all the replies guys, guess its up to me now. As i say doc in UK does not want to know so if something goes wrong he will have to do something to sort me out.

Has anyone tried trt using sub-lingual method of delivery or is it not worth it?

Plus i was going to use test-e is this the best kind or would another test be better?

I wouldn't go sublingual, not sure on the bioavailability off the top of my head but pretty sure it's not very good. Transdermal would be better but then you need to apply it all the time, and it will end up being much more expensive than pinning. Enanthate is fine, something longer like undecanoate might be good if you can find it and really don't want to pin every week. Personally I'd just go with enan/cyp

Test Enathate is perfect for TRT. It's used commonly overseas. In the US we use Test Cypionate. Do you happen to know what your total testosterone levels were exactly?

Anyway, you will love being on Testosterone. You will have a great sex life, more energy and a better mood.

I had bloods done about a month ago and the doc said it was 6.5. So they did a repeat which was last week, this time my results where 12.2, But he seemed very confused, then shook his head and said the labs have change the way they score the results. Followed by the comment I don't know what to suggest but one think is certain, your fukced.

Depends on your dosage but you may still need an AI. Much less than you would need on cycle but you can still develop estrogenic side effects.

TRT attempts to mimic natural testosterone levels, and guys with natural test production don't need an AI.. I'm not entirely sure why but I believe it's because even with a long ester like enanthate or cypionate testosterone levels spike much higher than normal shortly after injection, and then gradually descend through the normal ranges before reaching baseline again. No studies to back this but I believe that's why you can still end up with excess estrogen. Also of course most guys around here are using just a tad more than the reccomended amount

I'm running 250mg a week of test c without an AI (or atleast have been for last 7 months). I asked my dr about it and he suggested an over the counter AI by BPI products called A-HD, can't tell if it's making a huge difference. But now I'm on a blast cycle and using aromasin 12.5mg E3D. I think even once I'm done with this cycle I'll continue to use the aromasin and drop the OTC product.

Well what a surprise. For no apparent reason my doc just said he would prescribe TRT by way of a gel. As yet i still dont know what strength this will be, no doubt low to start but I will get that increased.

Im 52 and when I brought it up to my doctor I was in the normal range (about halfway up) and I told her I don`t care what it said I was suffering symptoms of low test.Tiredness irrateability loss of libido and such.I had my wife sit beside me and nod her head as I desribed my loss of interest in sex and BOOM! I had a script for testosterone.Good luck

I am on the gel right now. It has brought my test levels up to the mid 300's from 121, but I am now going to injections. I am just doing it myself, since I still don't feel normal. the now androgel is 1.62%, the old is 1%. The absorption can be tricky, but make sure you are very clean when you apply. You will need the maximum dosage IMO, since it will suppress your natural production. Also, I apply 2x day. I find it is better, and the rush from maximal dosage is quite strong. You'll notice the kick.

There are people that reach the 500-600 range, but not me. I have also read of guys hitting in the 900's. Anyway, good luck.

I am considering proviron as my AI. Since they say it helps increase the strength of test. From what I gather, proviron is really enjoyed by TRT people overseas.

Sound similar to what I did. I tried all the pills and potions the Doc gave me and it made no difference.
He just gave me the script and said give it a go.
So, Yesterday was my 1st application of Tostran 2% gel, 3g is supposed to deliver 60mg test, so i'm using 4g = 80 mg test. Obviously gel does not give 100% absorption so really I dont know how much test I'm really getting, but it cant be too much at that dose surely.

I dont know what kind of test is in this Tostran 2% gel or how long before it starts to work.

Tomorrow I will cal the manufacturer and get more info on this product.

As for an AI the doc has not mentioned this, but I do have to go back and see him in 4 weeks.

Found out that this gel as 12% absorption. So I'm applying 700mg weekly that's about 84mg in total absorption.
Even at this low dose i have noticed a change, but my nipples are getting a bit sensitive now. What a wussy.

I am on TRT 300mg per week! The key is what is average? At 47 my level was 352, and now off cycle I stay just under 1,000. My doc does not want me over a 1,000 throws red flage up. While on cycle they are thre the fuckin roof!

My doc also give me an AI "Armidex" off cycle I take .5 2 to 3 times a week. On cycle .5ed works well for me!

I was called into the docs last week for bloods.
I'd been using a bit (well quite a bit) more than the doc prescribed so the chemist red flagged it.
I'm waiting for those results, then it's back to the doc to see what happens next.
If he does not give me what I want I'll just self prescribe.
I feel so much better even on this small dose, but that bit extra i was taking hit the sweet spot, or was that the g spot.

Just an update on this. I finally got my doc to give me a script for Nebido he said that's all that is available now in the UK. So my 1st injection was 8th December with a booster on the 19th January 2012. Then every 8-12 weeks.
To start with I had some gel left over so I was using 2-3 tubes a day as well.
I will have to wait and see what the 1st bloods show, then decide whether to supplement with some test-e or not.
